Summary: Great Reader
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I wasnt quite sure at the beginning but I really took to the book and look forward to getting part two.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great first novel
Review: I really liked the book, I believe that the target audience is young adults. The plot is very simple but it one of the best books Ive read in a long time; it's a far cry from that ghetto fabulous, hood rich girl with the hustlin boyfriend. It was a bit long but if you are really interested in the book it shouldn't take you over 4 days to read.

Summary: It's All That And More Than A Bag Of Chips
Review: I think Ms. Lee did an exceptional job writing this piece. The book was one of those books that you read and never want to put down. I don't want to tell you about the book because that would be giving it away. But I will say that this was a great book. So... purchase it and add it to your collection. However, I woyld not recommend this book to someone under the age of 16.

Review: I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It is a good book. The male characters were described to the T. Physique and all.

Summary: Not All That and a Bag of Chips
Review: I'm giving this book a very generous three stars. The book was more like a soap opera. The story drug out and it would never end. I honestly thought the story could have been told with no more than two hundred pages. The story really wasn't too realistic. How many African American men out there will share a woman... no true brother would share a woman. The only thing I liked about the book was the character Craig. There is a sequel to this book coming out in June and I hope that Craig finds true love and get over Venice.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: All hype and nothing more
Review: Immature writer. Immature story. Immature characters. I felt like screaming at Venice, "Pick one already!" What woman do you know in her right, educated mind would be sleeping with two men and declaring love for both of them at the same time? A woman in love won't, but a woman in lust will. Not worth buying. Borrow it from a friend if you're really have nothing else to read.

Summary: Details are important, but.....
Review: Number one, this book was TOO LONG. The plot was okay, but it was soooooo dragged out that by the time I got to the end I felt exhausted. Fifty-something chapters is just too much for a story with such a simple plot. I also felt like Jarvis' character was never fully developed, so I found myself disappointed when Venice didn't end up with Craig.

The main problem I found with this novel was that there were just TOO MANY DETAILS. Details do enhance a novel, but there were so many tedious details that did nothing to advance the plot. Most of the sentences were choppy, and there were inumerable fragments.

Ms. Lee seems like she could have a future as an author, but her writing needs much more polishing. I wish her the best of luck, and I would recommend this book if you're just looking for something to read to pass the time.

Summary: Double Yuck
Review: Please don't buy this book. Maybe you can borrow it from someone. They talk about the same thing throughout the whole book. A group of collge kids. One girl Venice, who can't make up her mind who she wants to be with. (Her high school sweetheart or a new guy she meets in college) This is all that goes on in the entire book .

Don't waste your money.

Email me. You can have my copy.

Summary: Not All That And A Bag Of Chips
Review: The cover of this book really captured my eye and after reading the back of this book, I thought it would be interesting. This is the story of Venice Taylor. Venice goes off to college and her ex-boyfriend of four years Jarvis has to go to a different college. They were married and almost parents, but Venice lost the baby. Their parents made them get a divorce because they were young and going to college and needed to experience life.Jarvis and Venice were still in love but agreed to chill and see other people. Well, Venice met a handsome guy named Craig and fell in love with him. She told him about her past with Jarvis, but she was torn between the two. She was still seeing Jarvis, but spent most of her days and nights with Craig. She loved them both and didn't know what to do. Darrien had a good concept with this book, but her storyline was not well developed. She had a lot of details that didn't tie in with anything else in the story, there were a lot of mistakes, and the story just got to be too unrealistic. No man is gonna be in love and know that his woman is having sex with another man, no matter what the circumstances, especially of he isn't cheating as was the case with both Craig and Jarvis.I gave this book three stars because it was an O.K. read. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't a five star read either. If you must read this book, PLEASE borrow it from someone.
