Rating: Summary: It was good but could have been better Review: I could hardly relate to it i didn't like how tracy was acting in the book and i didn't like how merceades became an whore
Rating: Summary: Good Reading Review: Fly Girl by Omar Tyree was an excellent book. His characters were so relevant to the young girls today. I wish every teenager could read this book. The character Tracy is true testamonie to a lot of young girls. Keep up the good work
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've read Review: Flyy Girl was one of the best books I've read yet. It was so true to me. I thinks it's one of Omar Tyree's bests works . I look forward to reading another one of his books !
Rating: Summary: Good Good, Good Good Good Review: Oh, I liked this book! It was so hard to put down, I just keep reading and reading dispite my boyfirends complaints. It was so real that it revealed the revelations I had in my own life aspiring to be that fly girl. This is a book I will give to my daughter, when I have one, to show her whats at the end of that Flyy Girl road. Too many regrets!!! At the end, nothing was really worth it.
Rating: Summary: Off the chain! Review: I basically thought it was one of the best books I ever read. I liked how Omar showed from her childhood to womanhood. I might even write one myself kinda like this. Hurry up Omar with another book! I got it from the library a while back, but I'm gonna buy it and read it again. I just loved it!
Rating: Summary: It was not all that! Review: Single Mom by Omar Tyree was not all that! It had some very interesting points but for the most part it was dry. I felt Denise was to uptight I wish she could have been just more relaxed. Camelia which is Denise's best friend, she was okay but she should have had a little bit more of a life. Walter Jr, oh god he sounded as if he was nerd or something Jimmy, & Dennis they were okay. Overall the book was a little to dry for me. However, I think Mr. Tyree has the potential so i am not going to give up on him yet and I am going to read his other materials before i draw a strong conclusion. I just didn't care for SINGLE MOM
Rating: Summary: Even though I wasn't a teeanger in the eighties, Review: Tracy Ellison reminded me of myself when I was in the eighth grade. In junior high, I remember being taller for my age and looking older. And I also remember out-dressing the other girls back in the eighth grade, too. I can also relate to Raheema. Because all through junior high and high school, I would try to keep my virginity, and I would get a little tense whenever a guy would ask me to have sex with him.
Rating: Summary: the book was great Review: The book was great I like reading it and i want to read it again. I've never read a book like that in my whole life. Tracy had her problems as a teen we all have chasing boys and peer pressure and she over came them and started doing right. i think there should be continuation to this book
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT Review: "FLYY GIRL" IS A REALLY GO NOVEL, IT GRABS YOUR ATTENTION FROM THE VERY BEGINNING AND DOESN'T LET IT GO. ONCE I STARTED READING THIS BOOK I HATED TO PUT IT DOWN. IT IS SO FULL OF LIFE AND THE CHARACTERS ARE SO REAL. ITS DEFINATELY A WINNER!!!!
Rating: Summary: One of the single worst books I've ever read. Review: I thought this book was terrible, with nothing redeeming about it. First, there wasn't a single scene that was not preceded by a long description of everything the character was wearing (and by whom it was designed), from outfit to shoes to handbags to jewelry. And the book encompassed many, many scenes and many, many characters. Excrutiating. Second, the characters -- and their dialogue -- were so simplistic as to be insulting, and all of their (serious) problems were solved with less reflection than than a Brady Bunch episode. Finally, the main character was so shallow, so annoying, that she was hardly worth the 412 pages I had to endure to finish the book (and if I hadn't been stuck on an airplane, I wouldn't have). Stick to Trey Ellis or Bebe Campbell Moore and any of the many gifted writers out there, and spare yourself the torture.
