Summary: TOO GOOD !!!
Review: Flyy Girl swept my school a like forest fire. One day I looked around and evryone had their own copy of Flyy Girl or was waiting for a friend of theirs to finish it. Now I see why, the book was soooo GOOD. Being Tracy's age I could relate to her and see where she was coming from, which I liked. A Must Read !!!

Summary: Realistic
Review: I think this book by Omar Tyree is a very realistic story about what some young boys and girls go through in their lives. People who criticize this book probably don't live the lives that these young people live. The things that the girls go through in this book like sex, drugs, and pregnancy is very real.

Summary: Don't waste your time with this one...
Review: This novel is a sad example of the commercialism of the African American literature genre. It doesn't challenge the reader at all with its elementary sentence structure. Unfortunately, this is evident on all of the Omar Tyree novels I have read to date. Don't waste your reading time with this one...

Summary: Flyy Girl: A novel for teens everywhere
Review: I think the book Flyy Girl was great. I'm 14 years old and as growin' up as a teen, I feel this book was bomb. I don't think many parents would appreciate this book as much as teens my age or until about the age 18. I read this book and couldn't put it down. I could relate to the book, not because I did the things Tracy did (and y'all know what I mean), but simply because I could relate with the struggles Tracy, along with her friends, dealt with while growing up. I read the previous reviews and I realized many of the parents that read the book Flyy Girl didn't enjoy it as much. I mainly feel they felt that way because they're not teens anymore or they just couldn't reminise like other parents or teens at this age can. But the reviews that came from teens who had read the book was sayin' how much the book was BANGIN! And I was sho'nuff agreein' with them. But all the parents who read the other books written by Omar Tyree, such as "A Do Right Man" and "Single Mom", loved the book and wrote about how much THEY could relate to the book. Then the teens who the read those books wrote about how Tyree didn't do such a good job on the novel. So people (or parents in general), STOP HATIN'!. Just 'cause y'all can't relate to the book doesn't mean the book wasn't good. And teens, if y'all would agree with me, Mista Tyree needs to make some more "teen related" books. "Flyy Girl" has become my favorie book and I've read it more than once. It was great to read a book I could relate to. Although I couldn't relate to the other books written by Tyree (like "A Do Right Man" and "Single Mom" along with "Sweet St. Louis) doesn't mean they weren't good. When peeps ask me how the books listed above were, I don't say they weren't good, I just tell 'em that they won't enjoy it as much because there's no relation with the book and you. But I know as I get older and mature, I will be able to relate to the book just as much as the other parents at this age could relate to it.

Summary: Flyy girl? More like hot girl
Review: I must say that I really enjoyed reading this book. There were plenty of typos that caught my attention, but other than that I must say the book was really good. I have only read one other book by Omar Tyree and that was "A Do Right Man". I could not get into that book. I started the book a year ago and have only 3 chapters left to go. I just didn't want to finish the book. That's why I was skeptic when I purchased Flyy Girl. I was scared it was going to be just as boring as "A Do Right Man", but it wasn't. I thought the book was good (in fact too good, because I found myself screaming at the main character, Tracy). The character just left a bitter taste in mouth. I found myself become very upset with the type of person that she was. She was just a fast/hot "I think I know it all and no one can tell me any differently". That child wore my nerves. But in all, I think Tracy got everything that she deserved although I think her transition was a little to quickly, I mean, can someone truly make a genuine change in such a short period of time?

Summary: We need more books like this!
Review: This is a great book that you have to read from start to finish. This should required reading for any parent or young person. A teacher could make an entire lesson onthis book. It has a strong moral point-Fathers needs to be fathers to thier children (especially daughters.)If BET decides to adapt a book into a movie let it be this one.

Summary: A Love Story With A Twist
Review: This story is about a girl who is a pretty young girl and has decided to have sex for the first time. The guy she had sex with has made her go crazy. Now she believes she is a women and can go out and do anything and everything for her self. After a little while stuff start catching up to her and she doesn't know what to do. I thought the book was very good. The author really relates his stories to his readers. I like the idea that he writes about stuff that happens in the real world. I really recommebnd this book for anyone for 13 years of age.
