Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Review: This book is so excellent because any age could read it i think from thhe age 7 intill because the reason why i say that is because you may want your daughter or even your son to not make the same mistakes that tracy or Victor made in the book and for the girls that are teenagers who are running around hanging out and running wild this book may teach them a lesson this is a thriller thank you for listening to my reveiw.
Rating: Summary: GOOD, GREAT, THE BEST Review: This was an EXCELLENT book!!!! Omar was able to make from a youth's point of view and also make the adults understand it as well!!!! This book make's one reminisce on past youth experiences!!!! All I want to know is, Are Tracy and Victor going to be together? I guess I will have to read the sequel to find out!!!! They need to make a movie for this book!!!!
Rating: Summary: Really Really Great Review: I think that this is a good book for teenagers and up. I told a great story about a young girl to when she was and adult. Also telling about her relationships with guys.
Rating: Summary: I looooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeee THIS BOOK Review: This was one of the best books i have ever had the pleasure of reading. I could relate to it si much even though i didn't grown up in the eighties but things like waht Tracy went through are still going on today. Me being a 16 year old african american middle class young woman can DEFINITELY relate to this. I RECCOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. Who ever wrote that first formal review doesn't know what they are talking about coz they obviously didn't comprehend the book very well!
Rating: Summary: Pretty Flyy Review: Flyy Girl is one of the best novels I read this year. I read Single Mom by Omar Tyree and it was kind of preachy in some areas but I'm loving this book. Very realistic with the plot, dialog and way teenagers were during the 80s and probably still are. I sense that younger people or people who'd lived in the fast lane could relate to this book the most. Tracy is just like any other hard headed teen. Was spoiled by her parents so it doesn't surprise me that she was the way she was, what would you expect? You see towards end that Tracy tries to grow up because of the things she's gone through. I suppose if you loved 'Coldest Winter Ever' by Sistah Souljah, you'll love this one too. Flyy Girl is sort of like that noval but not exactly. This is how most books should be written as far as backgrounds and lifestyles. I really enjoyed Flyy Girl.
Rating: Summary: The bomb!!! Review: I read this book 16 times and bought it and gave it to friends as a gift. I loved this book. Needless to say this is probably the first book I have read and loved it so much that I could not put it down. (every single time) The book may be vulgar but it is true. You have a lot of little girls that are grown like the character. I love this book!
Rating: Summary: The book abo how young girls feel Review: THIS BOOKS REALLY TALKS ABOUT HOW 2 GIRLS FROM PHILLY BECOME BUCK WILD.ONE GIRL MERCEDUS STARS IT ALL OFF AND HER FRIEND TRACY FOLLOWS HER FOOT STEPS. THEY ARE USING BOYS, HAVING SEX, AND SNEEKING OU THE HOUSE AFTER CURFEW. GOING WITH BOYS TWICE THEIR AGE.
Rating: Summary: The truth is Flyy enough for me Review: This book is real and even though many people dont appreciate the streotypes, we must face it because the greedy, gold diggin ways do exist in too many of our obviously misguided women.Growing up I secretly envied girls like Tracy but as time went on I realized that being cute, fass and familar with all the boys was not worth all the embrrassment that would definetly come to haunt you after everyone has had their free ride. This book just reminded me of how proud I should be of myself and hopefully all the young girls that read this book will take the time to reflect on their lives and make any neccessary changes. The one thing that I didn't like about this book was the ending, it seemed like it was rushed, Other than that it was Flyy!
Rating: Summary: Flyy Girl is something else...!!!1 Review: I REALLY enjoyed this book. Once I got started I couldn't stop. I finished this book in three days only because I had other stuff to do. Omar did a excellent job writing this one. This one is absolutely is best book! I love how she turned out at the end. This book is a MUST READ to women and men! A true PAGE TURNER! Don't take my word go get it...NOW!!!
Rating: Summary: This book is my favorite! Review: This is my favorite book because of the content. It is a great book that I think that every African American person (male or feamle) can relate to. I have read this book 3 times and I am still amazed at how good this book is. I think that the 80's was a good era to write about and this book is a good testament to how incredibly amazing Omar Tyree is as a writer. I also suggest you read "For the Love of Money", which is the sequel to this book.
