Summary: a book for young girls not women
Review: This book takes place against the backdrop of Philadelphia around the 1980. It follows the main character, Tracy on her journey from hating boys to loving them then to being used by them. The book got tiresome at points and you really wanted to smack Tracy for being so [darned] gullible. She seemed more ignorant of the ways of men then I would expect any girl who grows up in Philly to be. (I should know I live there). There are redeeming qualities about her that make you hope that she gets her head together but for the most part you read and shake you head at this girls immaturity. Read this book if you're 16 and under. Any older and the you have too much knowledge of men and their ways.

Review: The book Flyy Gurl by Omar Tyree was a great book. I have not read a good book in a while and i finally decided to read this one and it was the best. In this book it talks about peer pressure and the teens in this book go through in every day problems like the usual teenager here in our everyday life. I felt that Omar Tyree was really focusing the novel on me. Because the gurl Tracy in this book, I can really relate to. But just not the nasty things that she does. Because you do go through problems in school with other females and also males. But you have to be strong and go on with your life and try to avoid them. But other than that this book was very interesting and I could not stop reading it. He made me want to go and get his other books to read because of how good this book was. I hope that you go out and get this book because you would be so amazed on how good he can write.

Summary: da bomb
Review: I HAVE READ THIS BOOK SIX TIMES AND HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO TONS OF PEOPLE. TRACY'S LIFE IS SO SIMILAR TO LOTS OF GIRLS WHO GREW UP BOY CRAZY, LIKE ME. SHE REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF MYSELF THAT I WISH THE BOOK HAD NEVER ENDED. ANYONE, WHO HAS NOT READ THIS BOOK DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE MISSING. IT IS DEFINITELY A PAGE TURNER,SO RUN YOUR BATHWATER RELAX AN LET THE READING BEGIN.

Summary: Good Book, But Missing Somethin'
Review: This was a good book to read if you like to read things that are "real". Unfortunately this book does not deserve 5 stars because it seems to preachy and her life was looked upon as being so perfent and every girl's dreams. Then out of no where she wants to turn all African college girl in less than 2 pages. The story was developed well from when she was young on up until her latter years. But the ending was really quite bogus and did not tell the negative points of being a flyy girl, along with the positive. Everything just seemed to be positive and sugar-coated.

Summary: For younger femles
Review: I liked this book although I think it is a book for younger females. It talks a lot about losing virginity and things you deal with as you are growing. I seems like the book is coming from a woman's point of view or she is telling the story from when she is growing up and how she coped with different things.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: OFF THA CHAIN
Review: To me this book was excellent because I myself can relate to Tracy's coming of age story. As teenagers, we all go through our ups and downs. There comes a time in all of our lives that we evolve mentally. That's exactly what Tracy did. I think this book is a MUST READ, especially among African-American young ladies.
