Summary: Dear Potential Reader
Review: Dear Potential Reader:
We here at the Forcing You to Read Better Books Society (FYRBBS) feel it is our duty to inform you that the books you have read thus far are lousy. They make us want to gag with their horribleness.
If you continue to read such books, we will be forced to take action, which will be neither pleasant nor welcome. Instead, we recommend that you improve you reading list. Or better yet, get rid of it entirely and start a new one.
We recommend reading Feeling Sorry For Celia. It is funny, interesting, and unique. It contains useful material from our fellow societies, which, if you read it, will benifit you greatly. In fact, reading this book might just rescue you from the wastes of paper you've been reading lately. There might be hope for you yet.

Encouragingly,
The Forcing You To Read Better Books Society (FYRBBS)

Summary: Fabulous!
Review: I've read so many contemporary teen novels, you have no idea. Most of them are the same and quite conformist to one shallow plot (getting a boyfriend, etcetera) but this book is in a class of its own. Witty, surprising, and SO unqiue - it's one of the best young adult books I've ever read!

Summary: great book on friendship and growing up
Review: I was somewhat skeptic on this book as i dont always enjoy books that involve only letters. But here is a book different than any book i have ever read before. The letters in this book were almost like a way of communication for the characters. Elizabeths mom is gone a lot so they communicate through letters on the fridge which by the way are very histerical. Throught the book Elizabeth gets different letters from many made up associations which made me laugh for minutes on end. The characters are full of life and you almost see yourself becoming freiends with them. It is a great book on growing up as a teenage girl and is you will find yourself laughing along with the characters. I suggest this book to anyone who has a sense of humor and wants to read a good book for teens.

Summary: A True Original
Review: When you find out that Feeling Sorry For Celia is written all in note form, you may shy away, but don't let this unusual format keep you from reading one of the best books ever! Once you get used to the format of the book you'll come to love everything about it. This book really makes you think about who your real friends are. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, but until you pick it up it won't do anything, so go read this wonderful book!

Summary: I have read it 10 times!!!!!
Review: I love this book! It is funny, quirky, and kept me laughing all the time I read it. The characters are portrayed as you would imagine them in real life! If I had 4 hands, I would give this 4 thumbs up!

Summary: not the best!
Review: I read this book because it kept getting recommended for me. It wasn't the best. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. The book being made up of notes and letters is clever. The main character needed more spice.

Summary: Interesting
Review: It's more like, 31/2 stars, but what's the difference? I liked that the book was written entirly in letters. Unfortunatly, I didn't like that every character seemed to have the same personality. Every single one of them seemed to be "slightly off the rocker," if you know what I mean. Oftentimes, I felt as though I was reading an episode of Gilmore Girls (anyone who watches Gilmore Girls should know, every single character on the show talks very quickly, and it can get annoying sometimes, because people are supposed to be different from one another). Other than that, the book has a pretty good story line (although what's going to happen is pretty obvious at times), and it kept me interested. I'm not sure why I was supposed to feel sorry for Celia, because I didn't. I didn't even care what was going on with her. So anyway, check this book out from the library. In my opinion, it's not something you would ever read again, so there isn't much point in owning it, but it's definatly worth reading once.

Summary: Definitely Great!
Review: I got this book from amazon.com in the mail. I started reading it on Friday night, and I couldn't stop reading it until Saturday night. I even brought it to dinner! This is a wonderful book. It is written all in letters, postcards, faxes, and notes.

The story is about Elizabeth Clarry, a teenage girl who is having some problems in her life. A big problem is her best friend, Celia. Celia always runs away, and this time it's to the circus. When Elizabeth's english class (she goes to a private school) writes to the public school's English class, she meets her penpal, Christina.

This is a wonderful story with some great characters. It is a story of friendship between Elizabeth and everyone in her life. I especially love how Elizabeth gets imaginary notes from places like "the society of teenagers". This is a great book!
