Summary: Timeless Tales 5 Star Review
Review: by Nicole La Folle

Eros, King of the Atlanteans, has been told by the Seer that his mate is coming. She will be in great danger when she arrives. Once she arrives, he must not join with her until after the mating ceremony. Once they have successfully joined, she will bear a child who, even while in the womb, will activate the transport that will take his people back to their home world.

Rachel has dreamed of a well-endowed and handsome man for a long time, but it has been over two years since she has had a man in her bed. She wants to get ahead in her job at the museum and jumps at the chance to go on an expedition into the South American rain forest. Her two best friends try to talk her out of it, but she is determined to go.

Rachel arrives in South America to find the expedition has already suffered from sabotage and that at least one of the native guides has already lost his life. That evening when she goes to a pool near camp to bathe, she feels like she is being watched and decides to put on a show for whatever guide is spying on her.

Eros watches the woman he knows is destined to be his bring herself to climax. It is almost more than he can handle, but he restrains himself from joining her beside the pool. That night, after the camp is asleep, he slips into her tent and uses his extraordinary oral talents to pleasure the woman that will be his mate.

Atlantean's Quest: The Arrival is a sexy romp through the South American rain forest. Rachel is a woman finally learning how to go for what she wants. Eros is a hero who definitely fits his name and could easily be a sex god. Together, these two characters steam up the already steamy jungle setting. This is a fun paranormal adventure story with a touch of mystery giving it a singular flavor. The Atlantean culture created by Ms. Summers is wonderfully sexy and full of many interesting and unique traditions. I await with eager anticipation the next book in this series.

Summary: Enjoyable, But Nothing Stellar
Review: Eros, the King of the Atlanteans, has been awaiting the arrival of his mate for over a thousand years. His people have long hidden themselves from the people of Earth in the remote region of the South American rainforest, waiting for the time when the prophecy would be fulfilled and they could return to their native planet. At last the Seer has told Eros that his mate is coming! She also tells him that his mate will be in great danger from another man and that he must restrain his passions and wait until the mating ceremony to join with her. If he does this, then their child will fulfill the prophecy and return them to their world.

Across the world, in New York, Rachel abruptly awoke from another erotic dream featuring a handsome, blond man with a body to die for. Frustrated at awakening before reaching climax again, she thinks that she just needs a good lay. After all, it has been over 2 years since she had sex. Unfortunately, she doesn't think she is going to be getting any in the remote tropical rainforests of South America either. When Rachel told her two best friends that she was planning on joining the museum's expedition to South America, they instantly tried to talk her out of it, reminding Rachel that she was not very physically fit and hated her superior, who would be running the show. However, Rachel knew that this was her chance to shine and to show the museum that she was worthy of promotion, so she took the chance.

When Rachel arrived in South America, she instantly felt someone watching her from the shadows, but could never see anyone. Telling herself it was just her imagination, she continued on to camp and forced herself to endure her boss' jeers at her work attempts. Unwilling to give in, Rachel forces herself to continue on and hike to the expedition site with her boss and several native guides. She had no idea that they planned to use her as a sacrifice to appease the natives! Narrowly escaping rape, torture and death, Rachel was rescued by the most handsome man she had ever seen - Eros - who kept talking about how she was his mate and they were destined to be together. Sure Eros was the hottest male she had ever gotten close to, but Rachel had to escape and get back to her life, didn't she...?

The Arrival is the first book in The Atlantean's Quest series and it was okay. The story has been told many times before about a primitive, yet advanced, man who finds his one true mate and has to tame her and teach her how to function in his society. There is nothing really wrong with this general plot line, but I would like to have seen some originality thrown into the mix and see something a little different. The characters were fine, nothing I was particularly attached to, but I liked them. I think the story was just a little too short to get to know them well, which was unfortunate because they had a lot of potential. They seemed to have a pretty hot connection between them, but since they couldn't truly join until after the mating ceremony, the erotic scenes were mostly teases, with one rushed scene at the end where they actually did the deed. Still, the book was well written and interesting enough that I would like to find out what happens in the sequels, of which there are two currently available in ebook format. A quick, forgettable read.
