Summary: Fantastic for Younger Ages
Review: In this particular Pendragon series book, Bobby Pendragon, a fourteen year old boy who is a social jock-type has every thing going the way he wants... He had his long-time crush Courtney Chetwynde as his girlfriend, He had a great friendship with his less popular, nerdy-type lifelong aquaintance Mark, and was the star of his basketball team. When Courtney finallly expressed her feelings towards Bobby, which was mutual, he was brought back from lalaland with a rude awakening from his Uncle Press. Bobby didn't expect much, since this was a man that was as close as anybody to Bobby, but was soon confused when Uncle Press taught him vaguely about Bobby's rights as a traveler, and that he would have to leave his normal life, normal family, normal dog for this new and quite odd life. Press took Bobby to an abandoned subway station to find a homeless man trying toprevent them to go any further, when a police officer controls the hobo and makes him jump into an on-coming subway. Over your head right. Eventually he meets his traveler partner named Loor, and Osa Loor's mother. And soon learns that each territory under Halla, everything, has it's own turning point and that is why he is sent there. Is Bobby going to be able to keep peace on Denduron or will Saint Dane succeed in trying to take over Halla?

Summary: Amazing, completely breathtaking
Review: I gave given this book 5 stars because it has an action-packed plot, lots of modern touches, and a little slimmer of romance in the beginning. This book will make you grip onto it for days, and you won't fall in love with it immediately, but it gets way better. DEFINITELY worth reading!

Summary: THIS BOOK ROCKS!
Review: This book, (which has an amazingly good plot) is one of the best books I've read. 13 year old Bobby Pendragon has the perfect life. He's smart, "[good] in sports" and is the star of his basketball team. Then, without warning, his Uncle Press comes and whisks him away to fight in a war that isn't in his own dimension! And, to top it of, his home and family have disappeared! Bobby must fight for peace, his life and any chance of getting his former life back!

Summary: An Excellent Book
Review: "The Merchant of Death" is a page turning book par excellence. Anybody who reads it won't be able to put it down. I liked how D.J Machale pulled the story together most of all. It was surprising yet completely believable. I highly recommend this book to any reader.

Summary: Kevin S Review
Review: This book had excellent foreshadowing, irony and point of views. all these things helped grasp the reader. It makes you want to read more and you won't get bored with it.
Foreshadowing helped this book. Although you never know what is gonna happen precisly you still know some what of what you are gonna read. This keeps the reader guessing then being surprised.
Irony was anonther element key to the book. You would think you know what was gonna happen next. It feels as if you know it. Then you read it and you were way off. I think this is the best part of the book.
Finally point of view was the most confusing but great factor of this book. In the beginning it is confusing but you will get the hang of it. It is another thing that draws you in.
In the book a boy named Bobby Pendragon gets asked bye his Uncle Press to go and help a city on their revolt for freedom. The city isn't much compared to their ruling neighbors but later in the book they find an explosive called tak. They made a huge bomb out of this and are to use it in the beginning of their battle againts their neighbors the Bedoowan. Are they actually gonna use the bomb. Will it be a success if so? Will this war actually happen. All these answers plus more will be answered only if you read this book.
