Summary: Someone Got It Right!
Review: This is an industry on the fringe and all the other books I've read about the world of adult entertainment have been just that - entertainment. I've spent a fair amount of time in adult entertainment both in front and behind the camera, and this is one of the few books that really tells it like it is. There's no melodrama, no self-promotion, and none of the over glamorization that you find in so many other books where the fading star is trying desperately to cash in on their last few moments of fame. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be put right in the middle of the industry and who does not want to read just another thinly veiled Hollywood script proposal. This book actually tells the true story of what goes on in this industry and is the book I'd write if I had the guts to do it. I'm glad someone finally tells it like it is!

Summary: This book is awful awful awful
Review: This is the absolute worst book I have ever read, bar none. The spelling is atrocious and the grammar is sub-third grade. The "story" (such as it is) merely lists the "author's" complaints regarding her co-workers and supervisors in the video replicating business. That's right, the video replicating business. There are many, many petty squabbles going on, none of which are interesting or even about the porn industry. It's like sitting next to a person who just complains constantly about how horrible their job is. Here is a sample of the bad writing and trivial complaining, from page 33: "In the office Clinton had a national sales manager, John. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing in many peoples [sic] mind. He was the most dishonest and back stabbed [sic] person around. John talked **** about people a lot, every body [sic] was ********, ***** or other cute names he used." This is a terrible, terrible book.

Summary: Like watching paint dry
Review: This is, without a doubt, the worst book I have read in the last two decades. The author seems to be functionally illiterate, and the subject matter is just plain dull. The book apparently went to press without the benefit of proofreading, much less editing. Furthermore, I am convinced that the few positive reviews that appear below were written by the author's mother (or, perhaps, the author herself). In short, if you are considering buying this book, save your money, unless you are seeking a surefire cure for insomnia.

Summary: You either hate it or like it...
Review: When I first started to read this book, I thought it was going to be yet another porn star cashing in on their last moments of fame. I guess the author had some things to tell, and did!
We can't always please all readers or races, but some can't ignore the fact that what the author says is what many people feels but don't come out and says it outloud, about porn, race and religion. I agree that it can be touchy but hey, it is freedom of speech and why not excersise it, the porn companies do. Why not just take this very straight forward book about porn and many other things for what it is, the ugly and dark truth about people, about porn and how those two affects the involved. If you didn't like what the author had to say about black population well is that because you are black or because it is the truth, most of the time it is the truth that hurts, and see it in print may not make matters any better. I am black and I can't agree more in what the author said in the book. Political correct or not, or simply cold hard facts it is all up to you.

Summary: Suprised!!!
Review: When I opened the book, there was a dedication to people in the authors life, how many books do you find that and with heart and sincerity? I never heard of this author before until I read some reviews of the book that Traci Lords wrote, someone had recommended it, and it made me curious. I am glad that I did read it, she writes it from the heart, shares her experience, don't want pity but more understanding and she does direct this book to younger generation that can easily end up in this industry. I can see now by having read this book how easy it is even today and not only 15 years ago to end up in this kind of line work. I was a bit surprised that there is a lot of Jewish practicing individual; I thought this line of work is against their religion, I might be wrong, or does it smell "hypocrites" when it comes to this matter? So next time you go to a synagogue look around, you might be sitting next to a porn mogul.
It seems as if this industry is what the author says it in her last chapter a cutthroat business, I quote her; " The adult film industry may be a legal business on the surface, but simply poke your head beneath the shiny surface and you'll find a teaming underworld thriving on dreams of others and a world of filled with smiling predatory who eat, drink, and breath corruption."
I am not surprised if this book soon will have big headlines, this is a true exposé.
