Summary: What's the big deal, he got dumped!
Review: I have heard some great things about this book and while it kept me interested it was nothing exceptional. It is the old story, boy meets girl, girl dumps boy for another boy. Hell, I've been dumped many times and didn't feel the need to write a book as big as a dictionary about it.

Summary: Clever--Refreshing--Lively.
Review: A riveting page-turner in the tradition of the most celebrated authors. The author Vink has given us a cutting-edge thriller dealing with betrayed love. Very impressive in content and storytelling. Jack Vink's saga overflows with dark wit, sly literary references, suspense, and heartache. What elevates Banished to the Ribbons of Concrete beyond the ordinary is the richness of his characters, both good and evil.

Maybe Freud didn't know how evil a woman can be, but Jack Vink does and describes it in such detail the hair on the back of your neck stands on end.

I loved the story and the way this author tells it. As you read this great drama you must keep reminding yourself, this is a true story of Jack Vink's life. One thing for certain, he could not have survived it without the grace of God which he talks about.

This is a book that will make everyone think! It is not a book for the faint of heart but if you want suspense and a love story all rolled into one and a glimpse at the supernatural this is the autobiography for you.

Summary: An old fashioned thriller-diller..ingenious and imaginative!
Review: An epic journey of Jack Vink after being betrayed by true love. A great book for a gal to curl up with in front of the fire. A love story you will not forget.

Summary: A walk in the park.......
Review: Last summer I met this wonderful author Jack Vink at a booksigning in Central Park. Walking under a green canopy of branches I came upon the author near the famous restaurant called, "The Boathouse." Listening for a few minutes as a radio station interviewed him I was hooked. He talked about the subject of true love and all its craziness that comes with it. I had never heard about his autobiographby, Banished to the Ribbons of Concrete. Looking back today at that chance meeting I feel so lucky after having read his book.

The autobiography tells of his life but more than that, and most importantly it tells of his heart. There are very few romance writers out there that know what they are talking about. This author writes what you feel deeply inside and is not ashamed to show his vulnerable side. His story is moving if not right down inspirational. His love for both Diane and Rebecca can be felt in your own heart. There is never a dull moment throughout this book that is the size of a dictionary.

Sometimes I open up my own book where he inscribed it for me and read outloud his words. "To a beautiful lady who crossed my circle of life under a blue sky, green trees and lovely dark brown eyes. Eyes that some lucky man will look into forever and forever. Enjoy the read." I have found that man but he does not know it.

Hight recommend this book of wisdom and insight into a lady's heart.

Summary: A great read!!
Review: I read this book in only a few days, could not put it down. Certainly a tale of true love you will not soon forget. Reminds me of the movie, "The Princess Bride." A fairytale that came to fruition and leaves you gasping as you finish the last page. I recommend this book very hightly.

Summary: Modern day love story.
Review: My best friend gave me this book to read after she went on and on about it. I must admit up front I am not what you call a reader but I plunged into it. I found Banished to the Ribbons of Concrete to be exciting with the many different stories about this author's life involving the women that came through his life like lined up in front of a revolving door. The book does hold your interest and it did make me think about my own lost loves but I found it way too long and that is why I gave it four stars instead of the five everyone else seems to give it. I did like it and would recommend it to me friends.

Summary: Should be 6 or 7 stars!
Review: An autobiography that finally keeps your attention until the very end. Should be rated higher than five stars. This book will surprise everyone and keep them glued to their chairs. Anyone who reads it will be a better person. Highly recommended!

Summary: Banished tot the Ribbons of Concrete, a ultimate page turner
Review: One of the best books I have ever read. Listened to this author on CSPAN BOOKNOTES and then read the many reviews here on Amazon.com. Excited, I ordered the book and waited for its arrival. Got home from work and it was at my door. For the next eight hours I read until falling to sleep. All the next day at work I thought about getting home to continue the journey with this amazing author.

Well, to make this brief I read it all in the next two days, nonstop. It was the best weekend I ever had. This is a very large volume of work but never did I get bored or tired reading about his exploits.

I have found out what this author knew all along. You can't be beautiful unless you give love more than you receive. Let me explain what I mean. Jack Vink the author, explains that all our lives are a circle of life experiences. One circle often crossing over others. These interlocking circles are not random, they are preordained. The beauty of his stories are you can either take the path to the left or to the right. It is your choice to choose. Each journey you take, for better or worse will change you life forever.

He shows us, no one ever makes all the right decisions but sometimes good does come out of bad situations. I loved the way he describes his trials and tribulations of his own circle. This book has made me a much stronger person to deal with love and has given me the patience to wait for the right person. As he tells us in the book, I wait for my love that will make the summer fly or a night seem like a lifetime.

This author is one of the most romantic writers I have ever read. Feelings surface from deep hidden thoughts kept locked away in our subconsious because of shame. His writings free them for us to see and realize that we all have skeletons hanging in our closets.

I am like all the others, truly in awe of the book.

Summary: Classic tale of lost love.............
Review: Banished to the Ribbons of Concrete was delightful in many ways. Immediately the author makes you involved in the story from your own experiences. He makes you remember past sorrow and wonderful memories we all possess. What I liked most about his book was the way each chapter built upon the next. Some were so beautiful in words you felt like crying. The character of Rebecca was my favorite on the many in the book. How Jack Vink loved her oh so much. She must have been one beautiful and generous lady. This book is more than an autobiography, it is a happening. So many stories, so much heartache and very little joy. I can see why it is going to be made into a movie. What we all forget when we finish this book is that the author is still out there, still traveling those never ending dark county roads. I am amazed he lived to write this story about his life. I am recommending this book highly to all those who love adventure and have the courage to see themselves, filled with both good and evil. My prayers also go out to Jack Vink, wherever he is.
