Summary: i liekd it. Whew, I'm funny.
Review: Consistently somber with a whole bunch of ironic laughs that are found mostly in between the lines of what Charlie writes. Holds your attention all the way through and never lets you down. By the end, this book is enough to make you cry. Not me though. No sir.

Summary: Wonderful and heart felt.
Review: This is a wonderful story, I havn't finshed it. But I have it in a book Volume 1-2 of the Hugo Winnders Issac Asimov is the editor and he speaks of the authors. I think this was a wonderful story, and should be read by anyone. It's just so good! I can't say any more.

Summary: A true reminder to be thankful for what we are given
Review: Flowers For Algernon is a touching story, and a heart breaking drama. In it a medical miricle allows a mentally challenged adult male to become a super genius in a matter of weeks, only to return to what he once was. If there is anything that this book should teach, it's that we must be greatful for what we have been given, and that to tamper with it is to tisk losing it forever.

Summary: Still one of my favorite books
Review: I had to read this book for class in high school, but now (college and graduate school later) I still enjoy it. It's one of my favorite books. Beautifully written, and the TV movie on CBS last night did not begin to do it justice. Trust me, this will be one of your better "darn I have to do it for school" books.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: I recently read this book with my class and I have to say this is the most interesting, powerful book I've ever read. The way Keyes displayed Charlie's emotions before and after the operation he had was just a wonderful way to let you know how he felt. There were a couple metophoric paragraphs in here that made you feel as if you were Charlie and I had to read them over and over again to get the picture.

Summary: Great Book! Very Original! Very Good!
Review: Flowers For Algernon is a very powerful book about a retarded man named Charly, who has an experimental operation done on him to make him a genius. I enjoyed this book for many reasons, one was the craft. The book is written in the form of Charly's journal, and as Charly gets smarter his spelling, grammar, vocabulary, etc. become more advanced. This allows the reader to see how he gets smarter through other means than what the book tells one. I also liked the characters, Charly in particular. I found it very interesting how Charly described being able to remember complicated things when before the operation he struggled to learn simple things. I also thought that all of the characters were very interesting and essential to the story. Flowers For Algernon is also one of the most original books I have ever read. Its craft, characters, and plot were all very original and unlike any other book I've ever read. Overall a must read; I strongly advise you read Flowers For Algernon.

Summary: The human Mind
Review: Flowers for Algernon was an amazing book about a young man's struggle to become smart like the rest of us. It taught me alot about companionship and exceptance. Charlie Gordon a 32-year-old man with learning disabilities undergoes a transformation of marvoulous proportions when an operation makes him one of the smartest men alive. Sadly at Charlie's peak intelligence he realizes the flaw in the experiment and prepares for the inevitable, he will be dumb again. This heart renching tale is a great window into the life of a retarded man and I highly recommend it.

Summary: I read this for a class, good, but a little slow at times
Review: This is generally a good book. Some people in my class thought this book was sad, but I didn't think so. The book reads pretty well; the voacab. is pretty basic, nothing really scholarly. Some of the characters had to be wrote down so when the test came we could remember. The book starts off pretty boring, about just how Charlie wants to learn. This book was good, because as a reader we learn what Charlie feels. Sometimes authors get so caught up in facts and sources that the real point of the story is often over looked because the theme is so hidden in the information. Flowers for Algernon really gave me a new perpective on the way I view certain topics.

Summary: My favorite book!
