Summary: Serge Storms Returns
Review: Dorsey's newest novel featuring Serge Storms, the good/bad main character of his previous stories, is a prequel that brings back characters long since dead. Triggerfish Twist is highly comic, often laugh out loud, that has several parallel plot lines that eventually merge into one final climax. Serge Storms is a highly likable character, despite his propensity to rob and murder people, who is part genius and part lunatic.

The main plot of the book takes place in Tampa, and features plenty of local color sure to antagonize the town's natives, who are likely to object being portrayed as the cartoonish characters they may actually be. Dorsey takes wicked potshots at used car salemen, consultants, little old ladies, banks, television news reporters, college academics, and others worthy of derision. Through it all Serge Storms emerges the hero, despite being on the wrong side of the law.

Summary: Funniest yet!
Review: This book was an absolute riot! I usually read Tim's books in one sitting (just can't put 'em down!) and this one was no exception. I loved the epilogue...Serge's phone call to "Politically Incorrect" was great and leads you right back to "Florida Roadkill".I got to meet Tim June 25th at a book signing and he is a super individual! Can't wait for the next book, who knows, maybe one day Serge and Skink may join forces...could Florida survive it?

Summary: LIKE CARL HIAASEN ON LAUGHING GAS
Review: What a joy to discover another writer who specializes in my favorite genre - "Florida Wack-o"- and to find one who does it so well! This book had me laughing all the way down I-95. TRIGGERFISH TWIST has all the elements of a perfect summer read - unforgettably wacky characters, a balmy southern setting, and an off-the-wall plot with so many twists and turns that you keep wondering how Dorsey will ever tie it all together (and he does, in a totally hilarious climax). The characters' names alone are worth the price of the book. After turning the last page of TRIGGERFISH TWIST, I ran right out and bought ORANGE CRUSH, FLORIDA ROADKILL, and HAMMERHEAD RANCH MOTEL. Tim Dorsey does for Tampa Bay what Carl Hiassen, Laurence Shames and Dave Barry have done for the Florida Keys. If you read only one book this summer, let it be TRIGGERFISH TWIST. Unless your sense of humor has been obliterated by an overdose of CNN, this book will leave you begging for more! Way to go, Mr. Dorsey! Keep up the good work - I'm already looking forward to your next book!

Summary: This Sets A New Standard for "Over the Top"
Review: This book is a pure "mind-flush." If you have been cluttering up your gray matter with worries about terrorists, or the World Cup or if Martha Stewart is guilty of insider trading then this book will clean things out. Tim Dorsey had collected the most outlandish cast of characters living in or near Trigger Fish Lane in Tampa, FL and set them spinning about in various sub-plots which all eventually connect at the end of the book at a Fourth of July Party held at 888 Triggerfish. To title this book Triggerfish Twist is most apropos as there is probably no finer collection of twisted personalities and story lines that you will see for some time...probably until his next book.

Summary: Dorsey keeps getting funnier...
Review: Dorsey does it again in this divinely twisted novel. First, I want to congratulate Mr. Dorsey on his inspiring decision to bring back Sharon and Coleman- their collection of drugs complements Serge's maniac Florida obsession perfectly! They met their demise way too early in Florida Roadkill, and I was delighted to find them in the pages of Triggerfish Twist. You may ask what else Sharon, Coleman and the wonderfully mental Serge could do in the Sunshine State that hasn't been done before. Well, wonder no more. Among other mayhem, my favorite three miscreants spend most of their thime terrorizing a family neighborhood in Tampa. Serge gains a new role model - and obsession- in his neighbor, Sharon experiments with assorted chemicals, and Coleman befriends an aggressive pitbull through rather unorthodox methods. And the ending to this book is as surprising as it is hysterical. This book is so much fun that I've given copies to my entire family- and they loved it, too. Read this book for an intoxicating blend of homicidal mania and side-splitting humor!

Summary: A rip-roaring, hilarious, social commentary that "has meat!"
Review: As a professional, I am an educator and Tim Dorsey completely "flipped me out" in "Triggerfish Twist". Although this is a rip-roaring, hilarious, satiristic socio-economic commentary, there is an underlying current of sober wisdom which is unbelievably well stated. I loved the characterization created and embodied in the colorful role of Serge. As a true Floridian, I can certainly identify with Mr. Dorsey's love of the state and appreciate his humerous attack on the forces that threaten to distroy it. "Triggerfish Twist" should be first on everyone's reading list.

Summary: Move Over, Carl, Tim is Taking Over Florida Fun Fiction!
Review: He just keeps getting better and better, and was really good to start...

A bit noir in spots, Dorsey has humor dripping from each page and is marvelous at keeping the pace and the sub-plots speeding down the track.

"Triggerfish Twist" is the latest and greatest with his anti-hero, Serge, still at the helm. You could start reading him in any order, but the chronology of the books do give those ordered readers some tongue-in-cheek smugness that
follows with the insider connections of the prior mayhem...

"Flordia Roadkill" was first, then "The Hammerhead Ranch Motel", and "Orange Crush" the third leading to the latest... Wild rides all and will not disappoint.

If you like Carl Hiassen's stuff, you'll love Dorsey's wit and roll.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: See storyline above.

With a wide assortment of characters, including career criminal Serge A. Storms and his rag-tag partners, to the rather naïve Jim Davenport, a low level white collar worker who decides to accept a transfer to Tampa, we soon discover the wackiness that surrounds the mind of Tim Dorsey. This wickedly hilarious romp through a minefield of guffaws will make you wish the book will never end. If you're not smiling while reading this novel you're probably laughing. The four old ladies were a riot. I very much look forward to the next Dorsey novel and wouldn't mind seeing old Serge again.

Highly recommended.

Summary: The best yet!
Review: Watch out Hiaason! Tim Dorsey is passing you! This was by far his best work. I couldn't put it down & couldn't stop laughing. The characters are so bizarre & crazy, it's like riding a roller coaster blind folded.
