Review: I've read alot of books, and I still haven't found one that comes close to this one. I'm not going to give up all the details, but I read this book in one day I just couldn't put it down. It got to the point I had to turn my ringer off and almost missed my stop on the bus because I was so into this book. I really loved it and I always recommend this book to anyone whose looking for a good read. Without a doubt the best book I ever read. There are so many twists and turns.

Summary: Powerful
Review: I really loved this novel, I couldn't put it down. I started around 5pm and read it off and on til 3 in the morning. It was like watching a movie. Shannon Holmes did a wonderful job of drawing the reader into each character. I felt the pain of each character but I ended up feeling the sorriest for Tone,Mann and Sonya. Tone and Mann because they were unsuspecting of what they had really got themselves involved in. Although the choices they made definatley became their demise. I felt sorry for Sonya because I could relate to her the most. All she did was love Tone, yet she couldn't understand the game the way he wanted her too. I have been there, it's hard to love a man who is deep off in the game, especially when you want so much more for him than he is giving himself. In the end it is about Money, Power, and Respect and the lack there of. I feel alot of urbanites will be able to feel this book as it is not just a story of fiction but of real life.

Summary: Native of B-more
Review: I am a native of Baltimore. I was reared in the inner city culture. Ms. Holmes provides her readers with a realistic and profoundly powerful snap shot of the Baltimore underworld of the late 80's and early 90's. The imagery was outstanding. The reader is allowed the experience the emotions of the characters. The publisher did an injustice to the novel. I loved it.

Summary: This book brings the real street drama!
Review: It's quite obvious in this book that Shannon Holmes is very familiar with the streets. This book was right on point. Having a brother who lived in D.C. for four years, I heard about things that happened similiar to the incidents in "B-More Careful" and many other incidents as well. Holmes doesn't sugar coat anything. This book is straight up raw. Even the part were the peeps from B-More ended everything with "YO" was right on target, because they definetely do that. I just could not put this book down until I finished it. Please believe, if you have to every deal with someone from the streets and need some insight, this is the book to read. That's what up!
