Rating: Summary: A maze you will get lost in Review: I wasn't much of a book reader until my friend enlighten me to B-more careful once i stated i found it very hard to put down the siturations the charaters we're put in was mind blowing the things they we're willing to do would shock your mother's mother from start to finish this novel had my attention i can't wait to see what Shannon Holmes has instore with her next novel.
Rating: Summary: Best book of the year Review: I really enjoyed this book, was a excellent read. This book had a very easy dialogue and a real page turner. The charcters you can relate to totally,Black,Nette,Mimi, and the whole Pussy Pound was so real.
Rating: Summary: What a Life! Review: Just got finished reading B-More Careful and it's the most hustle detailed book I've ever read. This is like the step by step guide of being in the game but it's also a do or die kind of story. Once you get into the novel it's really good circling around the lives of Netta, Black and Mimi and a live cast of other characters. A lot of people get blast but if you like suspense instead of all the other lovey dovey stuff, this is the book. It gets 4 stars because the edit isn't that great, it was almost like grading a paper but that aside, it's pretty good reading.
Rating: Summary: great book...poor edtiing Review: This was an excellent book. I just hate reading books with such poor editing.
Rating: Summary: I'd recommend this book Review: I'm 14 years old and couldn't wait to read this book. Two of my friends told me about this book and went wild when I got the book, however if you are a patient person then this book is for you because the really really good parts doesn't come in till page 230. I'd recommend this book to anyone because it's the truth and could teach you a lesson. I think that True to the Game and B-More Careful are related but are different in it's own way.The only boring part in the story is when they start talking about Black other ways this a a page turner. It's sad and excellent from the time you read the first page until the end. True to the Game and B-More Careful are the best books that I have read so far.
Rating: Summary: In need of professional editing! Review: I couldn't wait to read B-more Careful after being told by a friend this book was better than The Coldest Winter Ever, by Sister Souljah. Well... was I ever shocked! Actually, I did enjoy this story written by Shannon Holmes and I do believe this author has great skills as a story teller. However, the sad part about this novel is the poor and inadequate editing displayed throughout its pages. Had this book been professionally edited, I'd gladly given it 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: DIDN'T GET EXCITED TILL THE END Review: I RECENTLY READ TERRI WOODS "TRUE TO THE GAME" WHICH I LOVED. THIS BOOK APPEARED TO HAVE THE SAME FLARE AND ADDICTIVE QUALITIES THAT I ADMIRED ABOUT "TRUE TO THE GAME". HOWEVER, I DIDN'T REALLY ENJOY THIS BOOK UNTIL 3/4 OF THE WAY THROUGH. THE STORY LINE JUMPED BACK AND FORTH, PAST TO PRESENT, PERSON TO PERSON. IT WAS WRITTEN WELL ENOUGH TO FOLLOW ALONG BUT IT JUST WASN'T GRABBING ME AND I WAS UNSURE OF WHERE THE PLOT WAS GOING. IN THE BOOKS DEFENSE, THE LAST 1/4 OF THE BOOK HAD ME STUCK IN MY BED READING PAGE AFTER PAGE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK BUT ONLY TO A PATIENT READER WILLING TO HOLD OUT FOR A GREAT ENDING.
Rating: Summary: Move over Winter Review: This book reminded me of Coldest Winter Better but just as good. Reality in words, this story tells the life of many people of my generation. From beginning to end the characters and dialogue kept my interest and had me talking to myself like I was watching a movie. I think this book should be read by many young people to help them realize that this fast life that most of them think is so great comes with its consequenses.
Rating: Summary: Definately Truthful Review: I couldn't put this book down. It was definately a page turner and it seemed soo real. The characters were excellent. This is one of the best books I've read. If you haven't bought it yet, what are you waiting for?
Rating: Summary: Pump your brakes! Review: This book is the ultimate brain candy, yo! I'm a hardcore fan of the meow meow fam. Thank u Ms. Woods for introducing Ms. Holmes to the game! This story is a getho tale about Netta, a young female tryin' to get her hustle on by trickin' the bigtime players and ballers in B-More. She plays her part very well untill she plays the wrong one, that hardcore gangsta named Black! Now Black is that do or die kind of brotha. Read about the ugly flip side called revenge in it's rah rah form! Now i aint bout to review nun mo, yo. Go on and cop this here book!! It's worth ya money, and that's 4 sure, yo!...
