Summary: Fantastic Read!!!!!
Review: I went and purchased this book from the bookstore Tuesday night and finished it on Wednesday night. This book is excellent and I'm going to recommend it to my family and friends. I especially liked Cashmere and Slim. The character "Cashmere" reminded me so much of the men running around Chicago, you know the ones who just refused to give up the "game" and face the fact that they have gotten old. Cashmere had a strong woman on his side and he still couldn't let the street life go. The character "Slim" was definetely a "mack from way back" who was trying to "school" Cashmere on keeping a cool head when in the drug game. It just goes to show you that age & wisdom will always outway youth & muscle. Kudos to Mr. Banks

Summary: Number 1 Urban Book
Review: I'm almost at a loss for words to describe just how good this book is. I've read all of Mr. Banks books but this one is my personal favorite. I have to say that it actually surpassed The Coldest Winter Ever which had been my all time favorite urban novel. Mr. Banks never dissapoints and none of his book endings are ever predictable. Mr. Banks is a sure bet!! I would read a cookbook if he wrote it. He's just that good...Need I say AnyMore?

Review: OH MY GOODNESS............ If you'll read my reviews you'll know I love Al-Saadiq, but I also HATE HIM! This brotha is truly good people and he brings characters to life that we all know. 7 years of sitting and finally Cashmere is back out on the streets. The streets that held him and his crew on solid ground no longer adhere to "codes!" Young brothas running the streets without regard for who you are or what you might have had! Cash totally steps up the game with the knowledge of how the streets use to be! He assembles his team, and puts his hustle into full effect while letting the bodies fall where they may. Cashmere is a loving husband, stand up father, and a hustler at heart who has you turning the pages like what is going to happen now? He struggles while learning valuable lessons that help get him from the bench, to the starting line up, and that eventually leads him to a coaching position but now as Cashmere has it all no competition to interfere can he stake his claim or will his greed lead to his demise? Another cliff hanger and I'm "book sick!" Al-Saadiq you better be about to release both No Exit 2, and Block Party 2. Summary: A SURE 'NOUGH PAGE TURNER!!!
Review: Okay...I normally wouldn't read books of this type: I bought "No Exit" and "Block Party" at the same time, on the streets of Newark. I read BOTH books in 3 days!! "No Exit" was good, but "Block Party" was BETTER!! Mr. Banks develops the emotional aspects of his characters - Cash the ex-con getting back into the game because of his bruised ego; his road dawg, Slim, is a straight up heroin junkie that you grow to respect for this wisdom. After awhile, I didn't even see Slim as a junkie - he became more of a father figure. "Block Party" will have you on the edge of your seat, banging pages harder than a screen door in a hurricane - NO JOKE!!

Summary: Sincerly Yours
Review: Once again i must come back on here and give Mr.Banks his acknowledgements on another great story. Sincerly Yours is such a good story i am at a lost of words to describe it. If you are a true fan and have read the first two you will really appreciate the story Mr.Banks is giving us. He brought in new characters with a completely different story line. Suave and Sincere's relationship is one many people wish for, a man who does not cheat or hasnt the whole 10 years now that in itself was great.lolol no really there story was just so good and well put together. The addition of the old characters and there conclusions in this one was a great surprise. If you have not read any of his books honestly you will love all 3 you have to start with NO EXIT in order to appreciate the rest of them. Continued success and much love to Mr.Banks and his family.

Review: Saadiq knew what he was doing when he wrote this book. I never read NO EXIT, but after reading BLOCK PARTY I definitely have to pick that up..BLOCK PARTY was a page turner, I did not want to put the book down..Cashmere and mayor were some interesting characters..My favorite character of them all though was Slim...He was a deep old head....He taught Cashmere a lot......I have to say that this was the best street novel that I have read in a while, and I pick them up all the time....BUY IT NOW

Review: THE BOOK IS A GOOD READ. I ENJOYED "NO EXIT" ALSO BY THE SAME AUTHOR. "BLOCK PARTY" TELLS OF HOW THINGS CHANGE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM THE GAME FOR A FEW YEARS, ONLY TO RETURN AND TRY TO CATCH UP WHERE THEY LEFT OFF, IF THEY CAN. THE ENDING LEFT ME WANTING ANOTHER NOVEL FOR CLOSING. HOPEFULLY WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO THAT. I LOOK FORWARD TO PURCHASE OTHER NOVELS BY THIS AUTHOR.

Summary: great street story
Review: This is my first review on here, but i must say this book is excellent. From start to finish you wont be able to put it down. i started at 3:00 and was done by 9:00. This is a very good street story about honestly everyday life. Men go to jail all day and year long and the reality of it is the majority of them all have the same thoughts. they will come back out and make it. Cashmere was one of them, you would think after 7yrs in federal prison he would have come up with another plan. Once again Mr.Banks did it, he leaves you hanging at the end again, but it is truly worth the read. He puts little boys up to grown men. In reading this you have to stop and think well darn who is the aldult here? If you are looking for a good story and you've read NO EXIT you really should try BLOCK PARTY.
