Rating: Summary: Too funny to miss Review: Feherty really nails it on his first try as an author. I had a little trouble in the beginning figuring out each character's role in the story, but once I sorted that out, I couldn't put it down or stop laughing. Irreverant and silly, the story is original and a breath of fresh air for golf fans. I hope the open-ended finale is a prelude to a sequel.
Rating: Summary: Golf and Old Goats: I Laughed Til I Cried Review: Forget about the title of this review - golf is just the backdrop for this hilarious book! It would have been just as funny on the shuffle board courts of south Florida. (Hey, there's an idea!) Try as I might to restrain myself to keep from waking my sleeping kids, I laughed out loud about every five minutes as I read A Nasty Bit of Rough! The characters were comical, the dialogue was knee-slapping funny and the story moved at a great pace. My only hope for Christmas this year is that Mr. Feherty isn't done with this oddball crew!

Rating: Summary: Hilarious even if you don't like golf Review: I absolutely loved this novel because it combines witty humor with outlandish characters. In fact, although the book takes place in a fanciful world in Scotland, and is all about golf, you don't need to like or even know anything about golf to get the jokes and the plot. Be advised...you will probably laugh out loud even if you are in a public place!
Rating: Summary: Knocked me over Review: I don't even like golf, but I sure liked this book. It's fun, it's silly, a little bawdy... everything I look for in a light read. Amazing that this is his first novel! Also recommended - 'Perfect I'm Not: Boomer On Beer, Brawls, Backaches And Baseball' - 'No One's Even Bleeding'
Rating: Summary: A Great Book. Review: I had to stop reading several times in order to clear the tears of laughter before I could continue.
Rating: Summary: Buy This Book Review: I had to stop reading this book several time in order to wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes. A must buy.
Rating: Summary: Feherty is one of the funniest guys alive, if you love golf Review: I read it on a cross country flight and certainly aggravated my seatmate with frequent laugh-out-loud episodes. I couldnt help it and I couldnt put it down. The goofy characters are great, the plot keeps your attention to the end and the classically dry Feherty insights are funny as hell. However, if you dont love golf and dont have an appreciation for "old-style" golf in Scotland and England, you wont get it. Also if you are offended by excessive alcohol consumption and unabashed potty humor, this book is not for you. Otherwise, get a copy now.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: I was very disappointed in this book. It was poorly written and jumped around too much. The book also had too many odd characters and the book did not flow well. Also I did not find this book at all funny or interesting. I believe the author should stick to golf commentaries and short stories.
Rating: Summary: Laugh out loud Review: If you think David Feherty is amusing with his golf commentary on television, you will love this book. I couldn't stop reading it. Definitely one for the golf library!
