Summary: Serj is a great man
Review: Although my book doesn't have that cover, I know they are the same book. "Cool Gardens" is a great book. It's also very funny too. You can see some of System of a Down's lyrics in some of the poems. I would recommend this book to any SOAD lovers or people who think Serj Tankian is a great writer.

Review: Anybody want to know what serange tangerine thinks about farting? Oh wait, yeah that's right, it was a froo froo "life changing" metaphor about...crap? Not wanting to wipe yourself? Listen fanboys, just because syringe talangalanga-LADY! wants to be jimmy morrison doesn't mean that its so profound and earth shattering. I've heard better poetry coming out of the mouths of flaming acidwash, jazz pants wearing, coffeshop denizens in the judy garland part of town.Although I really enjoy Sanka "decaf" torquemadas music, this book is pure unadulterated colon void. If you loved this book, you'll also love a little film called "House of the Dead", although that film has no poems about farting.

Summary: cool gardens is tottaly inspirational and realistic
Review: Cool Gardens is one of the most coolest poetry books out there. I love how Serj expresses his view upon the world and the society. It identifies basically all my intermost feelings and opinions about everything out there. He's very creative and inspiring and I hope he keeps making poetry for the world to view or just for the people who care and also keep making awsome records with system of a down cause they're of the heezy fo sheezy too.

Review: I absolutely and unequivocally adore Serj. He's someone whos eyes could just tell a million stories. It's so heartening to know that such an imaginative and beautiful person could live. His poetry is wonderful and at times very humorous. You can feel his feelings throughout the whole book. And if he IS sexist? Well, that's mighty fine with me *grins*

Summary: Not to sound cliche, but this is deep
Review: I bought this book the day it came out, and I read it once a week. This book makes you think and wonder about life. It slaps some sense of reality into you. When you complain about your own little problems, you don't take time to realize that there's worse going on outside your own little space.Many of the poems in here really should have been songs on Toxicity (since a lot were written before it came out, or so I heard). But these are all poems, not songs. Sort of like the songs on System's first CD, how they have poetic feeling to them rather than just songs. The artwork is also very good. I hope to see more from these two in the future. You really need to get this if you respect System, yourself, or life.

Review: I first found out about this wonderful book from System of a Down's Site. I then went to serj's site and read some of the saple poems. His poetry really is imaginative and makes you think about things. Some of the better poetry I've read in a while.
