Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great series.
Review: Griffin has a way of explaining military life in those days like no one else can. The reason for the four stars instead of five is that other than the fact that it takes so long in between books for him to write, there isn't as much action as you would expect from a war series. Sure, the war scenes, in his descriptions, are great! They are just a little too far apart. Sometimes you feel like you are reading a soap opera. But let me restate that the series is fantastic and will leave you wondering what happens next. The only problem is having to wait for the next book to come out. If you want action, try "Red Storm Rising" by Clancy, or "Red Pheonix" by Larry Bond.

Summary: Great Read!
Review: Griffin has done it again! I spent 21 years in the military and I'm here to tell you that Griffin has got it down pat. Dialogue, attitude and characters are right on. The book is well worth your time. I just ordered the remaining books in the set. It's an outstanding read.

Summary: Wow!!!!!!
Review: Here's the deal. This is one of the greatest books I have ever read. The story is one that just can't be compared with. The footnotes are helpful. Not only did I enjoy this peice of fiction but I also learned something. I can't wait to start on the other Corps novels!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Didn't know this should have an NC-17 rating
Review: I bought this book to read about Marines and what it was like to fight in WW2. Instead, I got a story where the "hero" spends more time in whorehouses and fornicating with a missionary's wife than he does fighting. If I wanted to read detailed descriptions of fantasy sex escapades I would have bought Penthouse. What a disappointment!

Summary: Absolutely Awesome
Review: I have read many books on the subject of WWII but none have captured my attention like the CORPS series by W.E.B. Griffin. I feel like I could have been frinds with Killer McKoy,Ed Banning or Flem Pickering, and can not wait for the next installment in this series.

GREAT JOB ! What a great read

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding Reading
Review: I have read the whole seris and am always waiting for the next book. It is a seris that lets you live through a difficult time period in our history. If you like this, I suggest you read Mr. Griffin's other great seris called Badge of Honor.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The one where it all begins
Review: I listened to a Corps tape awhile back, and really enjoyed it. It was about fourth or fifth in the series, so I vowed I'd read the rest beginning at the beginning. This book is the first in the Corps series, and it's great! This book covers the time just before the bombing of Pearl Harbour in December of 1941. The book ends with our two heroes - Pick and Killer McCoy waiting to see where they're going to serve in this war. The book has Griffin's usual first-hand knowledge of Marine Corps life. That's one thing about this series, the reader learns a lot about the U.S. Marines, and in a very entertaining manner. This is a magnificent series, and it was great to read the book that starts it all. Griffin's characters are wonderfully well-drawn, and his plot is intricate and exciting. He is a great writer!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The most gripping series ever
Review: I started reading this series when I stole the books from a Marine. I was hooked from book one. Grifffin draws you into his characters like no other author can . I was mad when Ken and Pick weren't in book 3 , I was that drawn in. This a must read for any reader .

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I couldnt put it down!
Review: I've read all 7 books in the series--believe me, this is a book that will set your hands itching toi get the next, and the next, and the next. Griffin is the best author I have ever read at keeping the characters moving, lively, and interesting.

If you like stories of men and women in momentous times, regular people doing great things, this is the series for you. And no, I don't work for the author or publisher!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you closed your eyes, you could almost be there.
Review: Just last week I pulled the entire series back out for a re-read. The first reading was spaced out by time and other books. This time, I will get the full effect by going from the 1st to the 8th book without the aforementioned distractions.

This will be like a time machine for me. I'll be there, from pre-war China to the Gobi. See ya when I get back.
