Summary: A great read. Funny, sad and real.
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the way the main character expressed herself. She was so real. The juxtaposition of rational and irrational behavior gave the book the ability to keep the reader wanting to find out what would happen. The author, Pearl Cleage, didn't use a lot of sensational sex and violence to titilate. Just great storytelling. And may I comment on how I found it interesting that the author is white and the characters in the book were black.
