Review: A truly great novel. Even the chicken pox could not keep me from reading it (yes, I got the chicken pox at 18). I rank this up with Les Miserables (unabridged) as one of the best books that I've ever read. Rest in piece, Mario.

Even if it isn't the kind of thing that you are in to, the sheer intensity will keep the pages turning for sure. I have not seen the films, but I'm not even sure that I want to (sensing disappointment). A definate 5 star rating.

Review: First of all, I absolutely love the movies (Godfather I and Godfather II). Now I feel I can say the same for the book. (Who would have ever guessed Michael had a little sense of humor underneath his cool exterior?) It really gives you some depth to the characters, but action at the same time. So either way you can't put it down! I can't wait to watch the movie again :)

Puzo describes how the Corleone family, the most powerful mafia family in America, came to be involved in the mafia and how they overcome disaster in a war sparked by the Don Vito Corleone's refusal of a deal involving narcotics. A MUST READ!

Review: A sensational blockbuster of a novel that can be best described as a 'Classic'. It is the most revealing book ever written about the Underworld. The narrative has the breakneck drive of a detective story. One cannot stop reading it & after reading it is impossible not to be in a state of amazement for the sheer depth & enigma of the book. The "Godfather" is Don Vito Corleone, a Sicilian- American patriarch, already one of the top men in the Mafia. Whatever he wants he gets, by hook or by crook. The book pulses with action. Review: I havnt seen the movies but I cant wait to this is surely the best book ive ever read it combines genius writing with a brilliant plot. I havnt read a better book! I love action/drama so naturally I liked it. One not for other readers READ THE WHOLE THING AND TAKE TIME TO THINK. While the plot of this book can be summerized into plain "power" there are many brilliant subplots which help describe the Corleones
