Review: The story is about a guy who makes a thing called the loop. What it is is a thing that catches wolfs up to like 3 or 4 at a time.Buck was told not to shoot any wolfs but one day buck and some other people. He killed 2 wolfs that day. But that night he heard something and shot it and heard somebody yell. It was luke he got shot in the neck and the bullet went trouhgt his neck and hit a rock and it sent a rock flying towards eye. He lived but cant see that good out of that eye.

Summary: Incredible story and characters
Review: This is an adventure worth reading, and the reality is that this book is a great read. It has everything to keep one entertained, and the beauty of it is how well the story unfolds. The characters are original and believable. The scenery is fantastic, described perfectly that one feels you are there. The story probes wildlife issues with sensitivity and demonstrates that there is no perfect answer to age old problems. Both sides of the storyline are allowed to emerge and in the process one will meet some incredible characters that will stay with you a long time.

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read!
Review: I am not a big reader of nature novels, but Evans has successfully introduced me to a whole new genre of literature. Not only has Evans given a very vivid portrayal of life in small town Montana, his imagery made me feel like I was in the story. The main plot was very well developed and easy to follow even if the reader has no background in the subject. However, even more inviting are the several subplots that develop throughout the course of events. The slowly developing romance between two of the favorite main characters pulled me in to the point where I had to put the book down and take a break... so simple, but so well written that I felt as though it were happening to me. The last few chapters left me speechless, and I must admit, I shed a tear or two! A GREAT READ!

Review: Excellent reading for all the people who like action and romance! The Loop is a wonderfully written book. It keeps the reader interested from front to back! Nicholas Evans did an exceptional job. Maybe we will see another movie with this one to follow up the wonderful work he did on the Horse Whisperer. This one is full of action, suspense and a bit of a love story all combined into one great novel! A must read book!

Review: I had read the Horse Whisperer for my love of horses and I read The Loop for my love of wolves. The descriptions of Montana are wonderful and the relationships that take place in the plot are interesting, I couldn't put the book down. It was definitely one of the best books I have ever read.

Summary: Real battles still exist in the west
Review: I'm from the part of Montana where the book takes place so the story really hits home. It is accurate in the accounts of the battles between federal and state officials and also the ranchers over wildlife issues. Also the book isn't one sided; it tells the issues fairly from all sides. If you are someone that loves the outdoors or wildlife I recommend reading this book!

Summary: A struggle to survive
Review: This book was great. The chemistry between Helen the biologist and Luke the soon of a Rancher, gave this dramatic book a hint of romance. The struggle to have ranchers and wolves live on the same land, but stay at peace is very moving. It is a very long book but i recommend it for anyone who lives to read.

Review: The author tries to write a book about wolves yet hardly includes any content about them at all. He tries to create interesting characters but their development is so haphazard that it only serves to break the flow of the story. He tries to write a love story yet fails to make it compelling enough to draw the reader in. Don't buy this book if you're looking for something about wolves, they are the cause of the story yet rarely enter it. Don't buy this book for a love story unless you're into temporary happiness for the cynical and self-destructive. The only positive point I'll give the book is that I read the entire thing so there must be something there ... but why waste your time when you could read something of more literary value?
