Summary: Brutally Honest!!!!
Review: I wasn't sure what to make of this book at first...not the most sophisticated literary style. This book actually reads more like a diary than a novel. I read very fast and finished this book in about 2 hours. The main character (Quincy/Justin)was pretty typical of a "Playa". The mother and father (Rooster)...these characters were so under-developed that the reader had to stretch to imagine what they were really about. This gave me no insight as to why Justin/Quincy treated women the way he did...I could only assume.
The relationship Justin had with his wife was very realistic. What was unrealistic is that the man had all of this money with no real job or valid explanation for his income...whatever. The end of the book was not shocking, not predictable...just "poetic justice". What I did like is when the author layed out the "Rules of a Playa/Baller" at the end of the book (this alone is worth 5 stars). Ladies...if you even think you're being played, you need to read this book and memorize the rules of the game.

Summary: Who Plays The Player?
Review: I did not know what to expect when I started reading "Dumb As Me." What I found was a hard-hitting novel about a bragging womanizer named Justin who wasn't quite as smart as he thought he was. The
language in "Dumb As Me" is strong but is necessary to tell the story and to allow readers' to get into the protagonist's head. Justin Drake's single mission in life is to have sex with as many women as possible, as often as possible. He has so many women and aliases' it's hard to keep up with them. He justifies his actions by saying that "no matter how much I give out in the
streets, I still brought. . .home." Justin's life takes a turn when he meets Eden, 'the only woman who can hold a candle to his [long suffering] wife.' Still, he cheats on both of them without any thought to consequences which may follow. He has no reason to, his wife had left him before, but returned. However, Jason's world is not what it seems and this player's life is not without pain. The ending of "Dumb As Me" is shocking and moving. It's a harsh ending to a harsh lifestyle. Michael Gainer's writing style has edge and grit that kept me turning pages to find out when and if Justin Drake would pay dues for being THE MAN. You don't have to sanction a player's lifestyle to find it fascinating.Vannie(~.~)

Summary: I wish I could give this book 10 stars
Review: I loved this book. Now this is an author to watch. This was a well written novel and I enjoyed every page in this book. I can't wait for his next book. That whole time his wife did her dirty. Wow, This is a must read.

Summary: Are you a playa, or are you being
Review: "Are you watching the game, playing the game, or do
not even know the game exist? After reading Dumb as
Me" you will be well informed. Justin Drake, aka
Quincy, aka Tony, aka Fred are just a few of his
alias' he uses while playing the game. Justin has
money, power and woman; he is also married with two
children. He plays a dangerous game with women and an
even more dangerous one with his wife Alexis. The
author leaves the reader with the impression that
Justin learned his ways of infidelity from his father
Henry; who he affectionately nicknamed "the rooster"

In the beginning of the book his wife Alexis,
surprised me with her cool persona. She continued with
her everyday routine knowing her husband was
unfaithful to her on more than one occasion. Her
seemingly acceptance of Justin's infidelities did not
last long. Midway through the book you will see
another side of Mrs. Drake; toward the end you won't
recognize Alexis Drake.

The few days the reader is allowed into the life of
Justin Drake is an eye opening adventure. I am one of
the jaded ones who did not know the game was played to
this degree. The finale of Dumb as Me summed up the
entire book, which was not a neat red bow, but it was
a lovely bloody one. This author is not one to be
reckoned with this book was exciting. I definitely
will be looking for his sophomore novel tentatively
titled One Life no $equel, $low Walkin, $ad $ingin.

Summary: Just O.K.
Review: After seeing this book on the internet for many months, I finally purchased it. I have to say, I was extremely dissapointed. It certainly did not live up to all the hype. The characters just did nothing for me! This not one of those books that make you want to read it again!

Summary: Not as good as I thought it would be...
Review: This book is definitely not as good as I thought it would be. Especially the way the characters "reacted" to each other. And the end was a bunch of MESS! I wouldn't reccomend this one...

Summary: Hot
Review: This book was hot and I mean hot!!!!!!!! Man, this book really shocked me at the end. I have never read an ending like this one, this was off the chain.

You have got to read this book. Jermaine was a straight player in all sense of the word. What I did not like about him was that he slept with numerous women and in the book I did not read one time that he used a condom and some of the women he met he slept with at their initial meeting, including a cleaning lady that worked in a hotel in New Orleans. On top of that he had sex with the cleaning lady while his wife was upstairs in their suite. Straight dog.......anybody got a dog biscuit?

Read this book, this book is very, very good. You will enjoy it, I really didn't expect what I read.

Later!!!!
