Summary: Painful Beauty and Truth
Review: Reading this poetry is like tasting bittersweet chocolate, not to be devoured at once but savored. There is pain and experience, sorrow and raucous revelry, always with the haunting aftertaste of melancholy. His mastery of the well-chosen word makes it possible to say volumes in a few lines. One feels he's kindred soul battered by life but able to confront his demons.

Summary: "Eighteen Straight Whiskeys" Poetry book by Michael Easton
Review: The poetry by Michael Easton is truthful, real, the way it is. At times there is a hint of humour, amidst some genuine heartache, along with his admittance of being from a dysfunctional family and overcoming life's obstacles throughout all of that. I feel it is very courageous of the author to share such experiences and thoughts in an extremely brilliant and melodic way with grouping words. It is fortunate for readers, and his fans of this famous actor, that Michael Easton is able to express himself in this manner. The book is a modern work of literary art, which should remain available as a form of history for future generations to learn more about the trials and tribulations of surviving life in our time!

Summary: Life, as viewed through an amber colored bottle...
Review: This is an incredibly hard edged, raw collection of poems from an obviously difficult time in Mr. Easton's life. Even through the haze of alcohol and/or drugs, he still felt the pull of the written and spoken word, and was able to project that life to us in an eloquent, albiet blunt, way. I truly hope to see more poems from Mr. Easton, this time from a perhaps more sober and introspective view. My favorites are Poem 37, Pictures, Tantalus and Love Letter. Bravo, Mr. Easton, and thank you.

(A word of warning - the rawness and crude language of many of the poems are not for everyone, please keep that in mind. Even still, it's a great book of poetry and may remind many of their youthful party days).

Summary: "EIGHTEEN STRAIGHT WHISKEYS" by Michael Easton
Review: This poetry book's pages are full of literary talent which I consider to be BRAVISSIMO!! Michael Easton uses his intellectual abilities in poetic recounts about his past days of destitution and squalor, plus his struggles with substance abuse and relationships when fortune and success found him. In my honest opinion the book is well worth a reader's investment of time and money, especially for the tributes this poet makes to his Mom and Grandmother in a couple of his muses.

Summary: Gut wrenching depth of emotion.
Review: This poetry shows where this man has been, and that he not only is not afraid to admit it, but he never wants to forget it. It explores the deep emotions that many feel, but few wish to revisit if it can be avoided. I think it is a brave facing of issues and situations and SELF, and at the same time a finding of self, viewed through the media of poetry. Gritty at times, strength giving at others, and definitly not for the weak of heart. Be ready to face your own self before you open the pages.....
