Summary: One of the best books I've ever read.
Review: This is one of those books that you can read over and over and love every time. I think it's my favorite book just because it's so readable. You really love the main character, and she's just as funny and poignant as a little girl than as a twenty-year-old. It's hilarious and also sad at the same time.

Summary: This is my Favorite Book!!
Review: I don't remember how many times I have read this hilarious, honest, coming-of-age novel, but it is too many to count. Daisy Fay has a hard life, growing up as an only child of divorced parents in the south. She has adventures and Flagg tells of those as well as daily living. It is a great book.

Summary: This is my all-time favorite book!
Review: As a graduate student in American literature, I read a LOT of books. Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man has to be my favorite book. The first time I read it, I got through the whole thing in one sitting, paused for a minute, and then turned back to the beginning and began reading it again. It is funny and poignant--Flagg is a master.

Summary: VERY FUNNY!
Review: THIS BOOK WAS HILARIOUS! SO FUNNY, I LAUGHED OUT LOUD. DAISY FAY IS FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY.

Summary: Damn, this is a funny and moving book!
Review: Follow Daisy Fay, a straight talking young girl, through her coming of age in the Deep South. Daisy Fay muddles her way through her parent's divorce, her father's alchoholism, and her friends' tragedies, and you will like her all the more for being able to survive it all. There is a rather incredible cast of supporting characters such as a preacher on the lam for selling autographed pictures of the last supper. You will laugh and ache with this one. I had to go back and read it again after I finished it for the first time. Fannie Flagg has done a wonderful job with this book

Summary: YOU'LL FEEL LIKE YOU'RE REALLY THERE!
Review: This is absolutely with no doubt, the best book I've ever read! No matter what kind of mood you're in, or if you're down, Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man will lift your spirits. From the very beginning, till the very last sentence, this book is packed with entertainment, drama, and comedy so funny that you'll fall out of your reading chair with laughter. You'll find yourself laughing and crying with the hysterics and stories of little Daisy Fay and all of her friends! You'll definitely feel like you're really there! -Kat Nichols

Summary: The funniest book I've ever read!
Review: Daisy Fay's first person adventures, from the great cafe fire to a beauty pageant, are filled with hilarity with just enough pathos to make her believable. I've read parts of this book over and over, alternately laughing and crying as Daisy Fay uncovers the foibles of her parents and the local leading lights, and punctures the dignity of her peers with her escapades. She gets into more trouble then any other heroine I've encountered, and resolves it with such ingenuity and wit

Summary: NOSTALGIA, HUMOR AND POIGNANCY IN A MEMORABLE COMBINATION
Review: FLAGG'S SEMI-AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL NOVEL TELLS THE POIGNANT AND FUNNING STORY OF A YOUNG GIRL'S COMING OF AGE. DAISY FAY ADDORES HER ALCHOLIC FATHER AND TRIES DESPERATELY TO BLIND HERSELF TO HIS CULPABILITY IN THE FAILURE OF HER PARENTS MARRIAGE. HER ADVENTURES IN THE BEACH TOWN TO WHICH HE MOVES THE FAMILY TAKE UP MUCH OF THE NOVEL AND PROVIDE THE BASIS FOR BOTH HUMOR AND SYMPATHY--AND MAY REMIND YOU OF A FEMALE TOM SAWYER. THE NOVEL ENDS WITH ONE OF THE FUNNIEST AND MOST TOUCHING ACCOUNTS OF A STATE BEAUTY CONTEST THAT YOU ARE EVER LIKELY TO READ
