Summary: Echoes by Danielle Steel
Review: As a DS fan I know some of her books tend to have similar plots, but not this one. I really liked this one even though what happened was sad. I only wish there was more about Daphne and Beata though. Amadea's story was told, but not theirs. Overall, this is one of her good ones!

Summary: Avoid this Book
Review: I have never written a book review before, but this book compelled me to do so. There was a time when all I needed to hear was that Danielle Steel had a new book coming out and I would buy it without knowing what it was about. Not anymore. I have been very disappointed in her last several books, but this one has to be the worst. It is so boring and repetitive. There are huge holes in the storyline. I couldn't wait until I had finished and could move on to something else. My opinion is Danielle Steel is past her best story writing and I will think twice before purchasing another of her books. For a good romance novel, read Nora Roberts. She never disappoints.

Summary: I love the book
Review: I loved the book because it talked about what people in that country went throught in that time period. All the people in the book you could relate in some way.

Summary: St. Louis Missouri
Review: I loved this book. I had grown tired of most Danielle Steel novels. They were all getting to feel like the same story. This novel was amazing, it had me hooked from the very beginning. I cared so deeply for all the charaters. One review was bothered be the sudden disappearance of several main characters, at first so was I. After much thought I understood that is what happened to many families at that time. If you need a good cry, pick up this book. I have purchased several copies to give to friends this Christmas.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: Not one of her better ones, but it's an engaging read. Also read 'LUST OF THE FLESH' by Beverly Rolyat. An enthralling, compelling, riveting novel about corrupt district attorney Nick Allapapalous who finds himself caught up in a web of destruction, deceit, lies, murder, betrayal, lust, murder, mystery, suspense, romance and sex galore! Is he really the biological father of his ex-wife's promiscuous teenage daughter's infant son? Or has he been set up? A must read novel and enlightening through and through. Happy reading.

Summary: Mediocre
Review: This book could have been so much better than it was. I applaud the direction of the book but there are so many gaps and no real depth to the story. This book is a disappointment.

Summary: Wow, the ball really was dropped on this one
Review: This book was excellent until the middle of it, when the story starts to go to Amadea. I couldn't believe how many loose threads this story left. There was so much Danielle Steel could have done to make this complete. We never know what happens to Beata, Daphne or anyone else important in the first part of the book. I felt gipped in reading it. Also I felt Amadea being a Carmelite Nun, and then falling in love with men very easily with not much of a problem was an issue. With her latest books not being any of my favorites.. I'm wondering if her best days are behind her.

Summary: NOT HER BEST BUT STILL A GOOD READ
Review: This is one of the better books that Danielle Steel has written lately. I enjoyed most of the book but agree with others that it would have been nice to find out what happened to Beata and Daphne unless Danielle Steel is planning a sequel to tell us what did happen to them.

Summary: Composition for Composte
Review: This is the saddest book I have ever read. I don't mean sad as regards the story, I mean sad as regards the composition; there is none. I gave it one star because a negative rating was not available. "Fun with Dick and Jane" (the original primary reader) has more of a plot. I've seen better writing on a subterranean cave wall in France. I read four lines from every other page and had the story down cold, that is to say I was shivering cold from the ague this book gave me. The title refers to the word "stupid" that continues to echo in my head for buying this book. Anyone who purchased this book should get a tax write-off as an educational expense for the subtitle that should be on the cover; "The Complete Idot's Guide".* (*Registered trademark of the Penquin Group)

Summary: Echoes - refreshing change
Review: What a refreshing change from her other books. I have been a collector of Danielle Steel's books for as long as I can remember, and have always purchased and read each book as soon as it was released. While I have enjoyed all of her stories, this particular story was very compelling, as was "A Message from Nam".

I urge all of you to give this one a try. Maybe it will turn you on to becoming a collector of her other books.
