Rating: Summary: He kept it GANSTA Review: This book was as the title states: GANSTA. Being from NY I took the whole gang thing like huh. They are out there but not like that. ANYWAY. He had me rooting for Lou-Loc and had me crying for Gutter. I was like damn Lou-Loc keeps it STRAIGHT GANSTA! I thought he would make it til I saw Martina trifflin azz. I am happy Gutter paid her a visit. This book was good. I thought it was different due to the gangs. It was good though.
Rating: Summary: It was cool Review: It was a cool read, but sometimes i felt that lo loc's character was a a little bit to superman for me, i mean jumping on the hood of cars, and doing the things that he was doing. But overall, i enjoyed it. But the ending, I mean if Lo Loc's was smart, i think that he'd still be alive, i mean just because you say you're out the game, that don't mean your definitely out the game, he should have known better--you may think you're out, but other niggahs ain't gonna see it that way. I say he shoulda had his gat on him till he reached the airport, and then passed the gat to his man, until he made it on the plane safely.
Rating: Summary: This book was not all that, I seen better Review: I think the book was bad. I read a lot and this I will not read again. I threw it away.
Rating: Summary: Good!!!! Review: I thought this book was really interesting and I suggested it to a couple of my friends. Not to agree to disagree, but I just wish that an author would put a twist on an ending of black books. You know everyone in the ghetto doesn't get trapped.Oh yeah can someone please, please, please proof-read these books. I know that they are published by small companies but I think that is so unprofessional to read a book that has typos'. But all in all "Kwan you laid ya thang down."
Rating: Summary: Off the chain Review: I was really feeling this book. K'Wan you got down for your crown on the real. I read this book in about one day cause once you start you can't stop. That chick Martina got her's coming and to Satin baby girl keep your head up. K-Wan always and never forget to keep it GANGSTER
Rating: Summary: The bomb Review: Im a NY native living in London. I picked this book up while scavaging through the village. On my flight back to the UK, I could not put this book down. It's a realistic gripping epic about real life ghetto drama. It's a mordern day "Claude Brown". It's a must read for those that appreciate good writers keeping-it-real.
Rating: Summary: On The Real! Review: This book was excellent! When I read the first few pages I couldn't get into the language, but when I took a deap breath and read a little more slowly, I couldn't put this book down. I finished it in one day. Although Lou-Loc was a hustler/gangsta, I was cheering for him to succeed. There was so much action and drama, I thought I was reading a screenplay. It had you laughing and crying. K'Wan, your book was a masterpiece. I can't wait for the next one. Excellent job. Anyone who reads this book will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Tell It Like It Is Review: This was a very interesting novel. For those of us, who are not into the underground world of sex, drugs and street life, this book tells a facinating tale of that world. I really enjoyed the book.
Rating: Summary: A raptly engrossing, deftly woven tale Review: K'wan Foye's Gangsta: An Urban Tragedy is a suspenseful novel of Lou-loc, a skilled assassin of the Crip gang who tires of the street life and considers a better way to live his life. Lou-loc follows his aspiration of becoming a writer, while at the same time a ruthless sociopath gang buddy of his by the name of "Gutter' is striving to become a king of crime with the gang culture. Threat of death is lurking close to hand for Lou-loc, and those who have lived by the gun are constantly under the gun's ominous shadow. Gangsta is a raptly engrossing, deftly woven tale which marks K'wan Foye as a writer of significant storytelling skill.
Rating: Summary: Keep ya head up Review: I think that this was an excellent novel. I believe it gave a true introspective of what goes on in the mind of an inner city youth that is just struggling to survive, and how hard it is to get out of the game. I absoluetly could not put this book down. Young ladies who like love stories, there is a heartfilled young man in this one. I am proud of you K'wan and I want you to keep up the good work and write me another page turner.
