Summary: Borrow it from a friend
Review: Well I must say this book is just like the rest of the street novels. But Dutch was a little crazier and the only reason I purchased this book because it was based on my city (Newark, NJ) and I support everything representing Newark. But like I said if you want to read this novel borrow it from a friend because its just like the rest of them street novels.

Summary: DO YOU LOVE their dramatic BLOODY MONEY cover page???
Review: Well you are in luck!! that cover page happens to appear like 5 more times randomly throughout this book. i found this to be the only consistency!! besides the fact that the writer did not bother to proofread this after the initial writing, I am left to read stuff like that infamous paragraph at the end that is all about craze looking over the balcony in Paris as he read the magazine as he looked over the balcony in Paris as he read the magazine!! WTH?? nobody caught that?? anyway, if you are a skeptic like me you will b just as frustrated with the portrait of Dutch, a ruthless killer who beheads an African rival and carries his head in a duffle sac across town to join the mob, and he doesnt let the fact that he is not Italian stop him from aspiring to be in the mob. the way he stops an attempted robbery, I mean folks you really have to be there to appreciate that. shannon and teri, please take a break and regroup before the 2nd of the trilogy. i dont think i will be able to make it at this level of writing. *flicks bic lighter* POOF AND I'M OUT WITH THE CHARLIES!

Summary: Dutch
Review: When I picked up this book I thought that Ms. Teri Woods was going to fall off the track being that the first book is one of the main talked about books in the country. But she proved me wrong and I'm glad that instead of taking advantagoe of her 1st found GLORY "TRUE TO THE GAME" she made a even bigger come back. Dutch in my opinion is a must read book.
Yet I thought I could have been a little better.

Summary: Wow!
Review: Who says only the Italian mob has it going on! This book was very entertaining and I was hooked from the very first page. As I read, I found myself actually liking Dutch and cheering him on in spite of his ruthlessness. I liked his cool, calm demeanour and his approach to problems. He never got his feathers ruffled. I also like the way Angel and Craze stood by him, and even though Qwan testified against him, I understand his need to redeem himself. I would have given the book 5 stars, but there are too many grammatical errors that need to be cleaned up. Unfortunately, this is a trend that I'm seeing with too many African American authors lately. They need to make sure that what they put out is of the highest quality.
