Summary: Soo good
Review: This book is so good, I loved it. I read it when I was in 7th grade at age 13, after seeing the 1970 verison of the movie. I really liked this book, it was so emotional at sometimes, espesially at the end when he get shot. It makes you want to cry, the horror the boys felt. This book is not too long at all and I really recommend it to anyone that likes to read and I REALLY recommend it to any war fan.

But after that it just took off like a rocket. I reall liked that this book was written from the Germen perspective and the author whent into ditails of the life on the front. This book showed the gruesom truth and reality of the war.

Summary: All Quiet on the Western Front, A Call For Life And Humanity
Review: I loved this book. In a world tainted by selfless desires and greed 'All Quiet on the Western Front' reveals the dark side of warfare that has existed since the practice was concieved. Through Paul's journey into the battlefields of WW1 you quickly learn to unlearn everything that was taught to you about war in the glorious sense. Although this book is fiction you begin to expand your view of the world as it relates to this violence that has gone on for centuries right under our noses. After reading this book you get a deeper sense of humanity as a whole and you realize how equal each of us our. In one very interesting scene Paul stabs a man that jumps into his foxhole during battle. The man isn't killed instantly but Paul feels deep regret as the man slowy dies over the course of the night. He reads he man's wallet and letters and realizes this man is just like him and he had no right to kill him. This book is very important to unity among all human. This book should be distributed and read everywhere so that people will live in a deeper harmony with each other and that war will always be the very very last option to solve a conflict.

It shows the basic reality of the life and lives of soliders in the german army during WW1. You can compare this novel to any war confrontation that has ever taken place. For example, it shows in graphic detail, the physical and the psychological effects that human beings experience during war. I think that this book is one of the best war novels that I have read and I would enjoy reading it again.

Summary: The novel that opened my eyes to the horrors of war.
Review: All Quiet of The Western Front showed to the reader a vision of war at its worst. From the terror of the bombardments to the gripping pain of watching your friends be killed off one by one this book let you know that war is not all glory and fame. I really loved this book because of the main character who was about my age. The other characters in the book besides the main character will captivate you just as much as him. The bonds that they make in this great time of terror and sadness will show to you that the bonds of friendship cannot be broken not even by war and death.I highly recommend this book to anybody who wants to know the truth about war.

Summary: ev's All Quiet on the Western Front review
Review: All Quiet on the Western Front is a fairly written novel of what World War 1 was like. With chapter after, gruesome chapter, it definitely gives you a journey through the real life of a young soldier, fighting without the will to fight. Through the novel Paul, the main character, has a lot of regrets and is ashamed because of the things that he has been forced to do. In one part of the novel Paul is seperated from his company and has to hide in a shell hole, a French soldier jumps in with him and Paul stabs him to death on instict. He feel's horrible about what he's done and vents on his friends when he get back. He feels that this enemy soldier is no enemy at all, but rather a victim of war just like himself. This little incident is an example of the type of experiences that Paul and his friends have to go through, throughout the novel. This incident along with many others to come are what build up the pain and strife and the embarrasment that the soldiers have to live with for the rest of their life, many of whose lives lasted no more than the end of the war. The last part of the novel is the inspiration for the title of the book. On a day with little fighting Paul is killed. The army report for that day reads simply: "All Quiet on the Western Front". Paul's corpse wears a calm expression, as though relieved that the end has come at last.

Summary: True look at War
Review: This has to be hands down the best War book that I have ever read. Yeah it starts out kinda slow, but dont worry there is plenty of action in this book. Erich Maria Remarque brakes down War into its truest form, ugly. If you like reading about War I highly recommend reading this book.

Summary: All Quiet on the Western Front Deserves 4 Stars
Review: All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque is a tantalizing story. The reader is exposed to the hardships that come along with World War 1, from a German Soldier's point-of-view. Paul (the main character), is a brave teenager who must face everything horribly imaginable. From the death of the friends he grew up with to not knowing what to do with his life after the war, he teaches all of us a lesson. The gore, death and famine interweaved in the book is overwhelming but necessary to have the reader experience what the young soldiers must live through. This story is not only a life lesson teacher but an important part of our world's history. For these reasons and others untold, this novel deserves 4 stars. Read the book and see through Paul's eyes the tragic lifestlye of a soldier fighting for his country in World War 1.

Summary: I suggest this book
Review: I happened to like this book because you can get a different perspective of the war. You get to see what it was like on the German's side. I also enjoyed reading this book and connecting it with what is going on in the war with Iraq. I read the book and I also watched the movie to get a better understanding.
