Summary: Wonderful, thought provoking book!!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It makes you understand that the "enemy" is human also. It is well written with excellent similes and metaphors that the reader can relate to. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: THE EXPERIENCES OF A SOLDIER (Poem)
Review: They enlist in the army as young German schoolboys There is much they have to learn for they are innocent and naive Once they enter the trenches that shall forever be their home, they want to go but they can never leave

As the days and months go by they feel but they cannot cry For the atrocities that they have seen, they will never be the same by any mean

It is an instinct to kill but a struggle to survive They are loyal to their comrades whom they will fight to keep alive

As Paul's comrades pass away one by one, he's the only soldier left that's under the sun He fights his heart out until the day he loses the hunt and the army report confined All Quiet on the Western Front.

Summary: The Best War book EVER!
Review: This book is great at capturing the atmosphere of WWI, especially that of trench warfare. It shows how young men were forced into combat to fight for something that they themselves did not understand. It is amazing that any man would want ot relive the experineces that almost eneded his life by writing a book about it that is still a treasured classic. That takes courage! Remarque and his fictional characters are great examples of the poor young men involved in a war that was another country's faukt (Austria-Hungary), but their country still got balmed. Of course I didn't anyhting about the Czar, President Wilson, or the Kaiser being down in the trenches!!

Summary: By Far the Best War Novel Ever Written
Review: This is a really great book. I could write a very long and tedious review of the book. I could discuss its meaning and the use of symbolism to illustrate the deeper aspects of the plot. I could do this, but I won't. And I'll tell you why I won't. I won't because I do not feel that it is necessary for me to try and demonstrate my vast intellect for all of you. I am quite brilliant, and I, like Thrasymachus before me, do not teach for free. I will leave you with my review and trust that you will heed its message. Everyone should read this book it is great.

Summary: A tragic story of soldiers struggling to escape death
Review: Demarque's vivid and graphic discription of the young solders of war is incredible! Being in High School, and reading this book made me realize that I'm not that much different then the boys in the book. If I joined the army, and went to war as a young man of 18, I would be faced with the same complications they faced. I like how Demarque is detailed in describing the bond between friends, and the dreams of having the war come to an end.

Summary: incredible
Review: This book is great becuase it's from a soldiers point of view who actually lost the war. It tells you what actually happened on the war and how many suffered from it especially the writer. I think this book has it all, action, suspense, comedy, and of course drama.

Summary: Very graphical description of how evil war is.
Review: I was forced to read this book as a tenth-grade preparation to a writing test to use as a source of irony, details, and just generally as a good base of information. I was a little afraid at first that I would have nightmares after reading it, but I found out that even though it is graphic, you can take it. All the chapters of the book help show just how evil and horrid war is. The graveyard scene being a powerful scene to show how nasty war can get, and the scene with Kemmerich dying conjuring up tears and utter sadness. This book should be read by every leader of the world, and by every person who can read. It is a book that helps to show the suffering war brings.

Summary: i had to read this book for school
Review: I was given this book to read for my year 11 studies in english. I think that it was the type of book, that was too hard to understand and take in. Although i didn't enjoy the way the book was written, i found that it changed my thoughts about war, and made me realise, something that i already knew, that war doesn't solve anything, just causes dealth of the innocent.

Summary: Outstanding. Period.
Review: This book is truly an all time classic of war and the destruction it wreaks upon the people involved.

Summary: What more can I say?! Incredibly MARVELOUS!!!!!
Review: I was forced to read this book a month ago for our tenth grade assignment and at first, I must admit that I wasn't too thrilled about it. In fact, I was seriously thinking about taking a trip to my local book store and buying the wonderfully handy, high school life saver Cliff Notes when it dawned on me that this book might possibly be of some interest to me. Let me tell you, a very clever decision on my part. As soon as I got through the first chapter I found not only my eyes, but my heart and soul glued on this novel for days until I finished it. What a powerful book!!! I truely encourage all readers of any age to read this fine classic!
