Summary: I loved this book
Review: All Quite on the Western Front is a story from the point of view of a young German doughboy and life in the trenches during WWI. This book shows you the true horrors of WWI and how protected the people at home were. This book accurately portrays the feeling of this boy almost a man who is thrown into the war without understanding it in his leader's sense but having the clearest brain and knowing that it was stupid. The book also shows how sheltered the civilians are from war life. When the main character Paul comes home for vacation from the trenches he is surrounded from people that used to be his friends but now seemed distant because of their lack of knowledge of the war.

Summary: A MAGNIFICENT TALE OF BLOOD AND HONOR
Review: Remarque's "All Quiet On The Western Front" is a landmark novel in the history of war novels and an incredible gut-wrenching book. Told by a young recruit named Paul we are subject to the horrors, the honor, and the dread caused by war and its startling effects on those who participate. A woondeful book which I read in one afternoon, it is truly a literary classic.

Summary: We must look deeper...
Review: Have you ever read a review about an acclaimed book in which the reviewer so clearly lacked understanding for the book you wish you could impose some real sense into them face to face. well I've read one to many of those today, and in defense of All Quiet..., it was truly the greatest war novel of all time, the only one caring to delve into the true horror of war, the only one that reaches out and makes you see... And if you want a true knowlege of death and the testing of all your morals and what you know to be right, you must read this work.

Summary: Not a clean cut, exciting way to portray war,is realistic
Review: For those of you seeking adventure and excitement about the glories of war, this book is not for you. I enjoyed this book because of the reality that war is not always pretty or exciting. For once someone told it like it is. Before anyone enlists in the military they should read this book.

Summary: A great classic war story, very intriguing
Review: In this book Paul Baumer is a german young man who enlists his classmates in ww1. At first thay are all very scared and then they become courageous. I think that in this book paul is very brave and he show pride for his country. He is a very noble and trustworthy soldier who lays it on the line for his breathen. They try to manage to conquere the french.

Summary: Read in the original German for its true five-star impact.
Review: This novel really suffers in translation, but even at that has quite an impact. You have to exercise some patience with language to appreciate its full message. Often cited as "the greatest war novel ever", it is really a powerful anti-war statement. A similar look at war is William Wharton's Midnight Clear. Set in World War II, it is the story of William Knott, as unlikely a "hero" as Paul in All Quiet on the Western Front. I highly recommend Midnight Clear, a true five-star novel.

Summary: AWSOME
Review: The book had my attention from beginning to end. Paul was a symbol of country pride. He fought through difficult times. The unsung hero of this story is there leader Cap. He was the model soilder for any army. Even though he was over weight, he used his keen senses to stay alive. I recomend this book for all ages. It was the best war book I have ever read.

Summary: This was not a good book read this review before you read it
Review: this book was given as a mandatory reading assigment in 8th grade. It was the most boring, hard to grasp and understand book Ive ever read. The plot was not bad, but the way it was written, and the switching back and forth between characters, made it hard to grasp and annoying to read. If this is a book that you are thinking about reading, take my advice, and although Im a kid, I'm at an adult reading level and love to read, and hated this book. Do not put this book in a book club readeing assingnment or read it for enjoyment- you will most likey regret it.
