Summary: A captivating collection of classic stories.
Review: "The Complete Sherlock Holmes", written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyal, is one of the best books I've read. It's right up there with Stories like "Great Expectations". My personal favorite of all the short stories is "The Hound of the Baskervilles." It is a real spine tingler, and kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole thing. If you like scary movies and books, this fits in that catagory perfectly.

Summary: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a genius detective story writer.
Review: I have read The Complete Sherlock Holmes and it is marvelous reading. It is the best kind of reading. It keeps your mind alert while you figure out who was behind the crime. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a genius at feeding us crumbs of clues that at times you ache for another clue because you're not quite sure yet. But the best part is that we the readers can have fun following the clues and taking a stab at deducing who done it.

Summary: The greatest book!!
Review: The way the author wrote this book is amazing. He bring Sherlock Holmes to life right in your living room. The stories are great with one main detail, suspence. The way the book is set up is good with stort stories and tells that are sometimes boring but fun to read just the same. I would rercomend this to any one who enjoys mysteries that need some scientific thinking.

Summary: Anthor Great work
Review: When Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, first sat down to write the adventures of Sherlock Holmes his intention was to mealy build up an income to support his historical wirtings, and he little imagend the sucess the collection would bring. Not only are the stories contanted in this volume entertaning but to those who can read bettween the lines educational. I eagerly recommend thease works to any reader of simple great literature.

Summary: The greatest detective that ever walked the earth!
Review: If there is any book that made you forget the author, it is sherlock holmes. Poor Conan Doyle! Brainy but sensitive, lazy and energetic, detective and thief(in a couple of cases), this mass of contradictions (holmes) is truly THE DETECTIVE par excellence. I got this complete work in november and I have read all the stories about 20 times without getting bored, and I am still at it. I cannot say enough about the great holmes in such a short space as this, so I stop here. Go get the book!

Summary: Completely outstanding, a must own!
Review: Though it took a few years of on and off reading, these novels and short stories present the reader with a vast selection of truly enjoyable reading. There is no end to where you can apply the lessons of observation and deduction that Doyle, through Holmes, presents. It should be required reading for any would-be or proffesional dectective. After all "Once you have eliminated the impossible; whatever remains, however, improbable must be the truth." The truth of this collection, a great read and a must have for any home library.

Summary: Elementary my dear readers...
Review: Positively the best so far. I enthusiastically recommend this collection, as I expect that Mr. Holmes's popularity will once again emerge in the midst of the barren literary and film landscape of today to once again capture the imagination of thoughtful readers of all generations. A toast of sherry to the enigmatic and intriguing Mr. Holmes and his loyal companion and fellow boarder Dr. Watson.

For an authentic portrayal of the great British sleuth, be sure to visit your local library or video store for the Sherlock Holmes series with Jeremy Brett as Holmes, my hands-down favorite.

Summary: Captivating!
Review: Of all the books I have read, this is by far the best. The relationship between Holmes and Watson and at times, between Holmes and his clients is amazingly detailed. The single most enthralling fictional character ever imagined IMO, this book is a worthy read for all ages, no time too soon or too late to enjoy such a masterpiece. Myself being 16 and having read this collection three times at present date

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A very interesting and entertaining collection of stories!
Review: What I love about this book is that it never gets old! Everytime you read it, it is like reading it for the first time. I love how well developed the characters are, and I love the variety in the stories.
