Review: I found the book to be very interesting. I myself am very close to a Vietnam war veteran who flew a C-130 on combat missions. The book is very realistic and it tells about almost every aspect of the war. The book did not look very interesting to me at first, but after I started reading it I thought that it was very good.

Summary: A decent book
Review: My review of this book is that it is a ok book but for a war story about this mans experience of the vietnam war doesn't have much war and combat or fighting.Although this book doesn't have much "war" is not all that bad.

Review: I thought this book was very interesting. It was very graphic, but that was what kept me wanting to read more. I think that this book was wrote about a very sad and crazy time. Vietnam sounded like a horrible time, and it's crazy that people had to actually go through this.

Summary: My Review
Review: I think this is a pretty good book because it tells what normal people went through before and during the war. It shows that no one is too good to go to war. It tells people what they had to go through when their friends died or when they killed people and how you had to get over it and get on with your life.

Review: This book was very interesting. At times the book seemed to get a little graphic, but It made the book alot more realistic. Especially since in text books It wasnt from a real veterian from the war this just made the book seem alot more interesting then just reading it from a text book.

Summary: A very realistic portrail of the Vietnam war
Review: This book was very interesting. We all know the text-book definition of the Vietnam war, but this was a first-hand account. While the stories may not be completely true, the feeling behind them is very real, and I think that was the whole idea behind this story. Tim O'Brian does an excelent job of portraying everyday life in the war, and it's actually interesting to read because it's not all a bunch of dates and facts and important people, it's a story about the average soldier, and what they went through. I'm glad someone finally recognized the heroes that weren't printed in a text book--the average soldier.

Summary: Excellent
Review: The Things They Carried is an excellent story about the Vietnam War and the hardships experienced by the soldiers that fought in it. This story also shows the bonds that were shared by the soldiers that experienced the war first-hand.
