Summary: Black-on-Black Luv Never Felt So Jood!
Review: Yo, this book is DA BOMB! I've read it 20 times, and it just keeps getting better and better. It keeps me laughin' out loud, cryin' like a baby, and HOT (the sex is smokin'!). Never did I think the day would come when my life story would be told, but Hardy did it. Hardy knows how to bring the story of Brothers in the life to life and he don't hold back when it comes to puttin' white folks (and even straight Brothers and Sisters) in their place. If you wanna know the real T about homeboys, pick this book up

Summary: I was devastated
Review: I was devasteated by the tone of this book. As a white man who has lived with and loved a black man for almost 20 years, I couldn't believe the hostility expressed in the book about white people. I know it exists, of course, but somehow I felt that our relationship is above all that. My lover has not been able to finish the book, and refuses to really talk about it. True, some of the things the author says about white people's attractions to black people are ture, but after a very short span of time, you thank God that the attraction was there just so you had the opportunity to get to know that person for who he really is, otherwise, we would have NEVER met, with those restrictions placed on us by our parents, peers, and whoever else wanted to run our lives. I'm glad the book was written, but it was like finding out about Santa Claus and my parents doing the nasty all in the same week at the age of 8

Summary: Excellent portrayal of macho mental
Review: I loved this book!!! Mr. Hardy did an excellent job of showing Raheim as a multi-dimensional character. He literally broke the myth that all "b-boys" are loveless and definately straight. He also succeeded in exposing the conflicts that all African-American males (gay or straight) go through in dealing with their emotions. Keep up the good work

Summary: A Black woman's perspective
Review: This book really opened my eyes to the games that black men play with the sistas. It helped me, and a few other women I passed it along to, better cope with their actions. Now, I look at ALL males (black, white, hispanic...) as potential undercover "B-Boy's"

Summary: Exitement and feeling. Great book
Review: Very refreshing to read. A bit sad as it is a bit like reverse rase discrimination. Not being an American, I found it a bit hard to relate to this "anti white" feeling. Overall though, the book is excellent. The language was vibrating and alive. The main character in the book is a man of principles and it was easy to like him. The boyish enthusiasm and the exitement that he feels is obvious and this made the book an easy candidate for the "must read" category.

Summary: EXCELLENT
Review: IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GREAT LAUGH AND ALSO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE GAY, YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK. IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANY AND EVERY ONE!!! I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN... IT HAD ME IN STICHES!!

Summary: B-Boy is almost an A! Very Gripping and HOT!
Review: B-BOY BLUES is the coming together love story of young black journalist Mitchell Crawford and yummy muscled B-boy messenger Raheim Rivers. The two meet at a bar and sparks fly --- but it isn't until their first date that those sparks catch fire and really begin to blaze. Mitchell and Raheim quickly discover that despite their different life-experiences, backgrounds, obstacles, conditions, and basically worlds - they're meant to be together. They're so right together. This is a grand romance in an almost classical style that skillful captures the trials and triumphs of this charismatic couple. Along the way this gripping read provides lots of snappy dialogue, great characters, some phenomenal sex scenes, and emotionally moving moments as well. In addition to being a big juicy read B-BOY BLUES is a frank depiction of life from divergent sides of the African-American experience. And I love when books I love has SEQUELS!

Summary: Well Worth Your Time
Review: B-Boy Blues is interesting, if light reading. The writing is a bit immature and the plot a bit stretched in a few places. Nonetheless, I liked the characters, found them to be mostly believable, and was interested in their individual and group progressions through the book

I just ordered the next two books in this series by James Earl Hardy, which must say something.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Too hot for me!
Review: This is the first of James Hardy's novels I've read and all I have to say is "SHEESH!" If it wasn't the extreme detailed love scenes that made me close the novel several times, it was the explicit language. Now I'm no Virgin Mary, but cussing every other word and pornographic sex scenes on every other page was a bit too much for me!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very Jood!
Review: This is a very entertaining novel. It is yet another testament that love comes in many packages and who are we to judge. I am just about done with "2nd Time Around" and it's wonderful watching Raheim grow. Can't wait to see how it ends.
