Rating: Summary: "Riveting, Heart Pounding Reading" Review: This book is filled with heart pounding action that keeps you turning page after page. A story that may have been written a 100 years ago, but could have come from today's headlines. Louisa May Alcott was definately a woman before her time, and her style of writing in this book portrays this tremendously. She uses very detailed descriptions that upon reading brings images to mind. A definate must read for any Alcott fan, or for anyone that loves to have their imagination stimulated!
Rating: Summary: Thrilling!!! Review: This book was amazing. The style of writing and the suspense from chapter to chapter was unbelievable! I would highly recommend this book-It was one of the best books I've ever read!
Rating: Summary: A young woman's nightmare come true! Review: This book was considered too shocking to be published, so it was interesting to read a book that was "banned". Rosamonde gets paired up with a raunchy dude and realizes too late she can't shed the guy. He's like a turd on the bottom of your shoe: you just can't shake him off! I liked the book fine. Fans of Louisa May Alcott should enjoy this novel. But it was alittle corny for my taste
Rating: Summary: The chase. Review: This book was just something else. Alcott wrote with much intesity that you didn't want to put the book down. When you first meet the main character there is so much tension building right when you meet the "chase". I recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery and romance in one. Happy reading :)
Rating: Summary: Dissappointed with the End Review: This book was well written and very good, but I was not pleased with how it ended. I expected something to that effect, but I still wasn't happy when it came about. It was very interesting and definately held your attention and made you want to keep reading.
Rating: Summary: A pleasant suprise Review: This is a very suspenseful book---each chapter ends with a surprise. The title of the book says it all "a long fatal love chase." It is full of twists and turns and you'll be finished reading it in a day or two because the adventure never slows down. Not what I typically think of for a Louis May Alcott book... as this was much more fast-pased. However, never predictable at all... even to the last page!

Rating: Summary: Trashy (though somewhat fun) Review: This is, presumably, a melodramatic potboiler that Louisa wrote to pay the bills and then thought better of publishing; too bad it's been revived now, as the utterly shallow characterization, cloying dialogue, and stereotyped plot might give some people the wrong impression of Alcott's skills. However, it can be a fun audiobook to listen to while you are puttering around the house and don't have to listen too closely to it, or it can be a good read for a rainy day. If you like the typical Gothic novel, you may love this book. If you are looking for the fine writing and good cheer of _Little Women_, or the detailed treatment of women's lives in _Work_, or an unconventional heroine (Rosamund is supposedly spirited and unconventional, but in fact she is depressingly shallow and dull), don't bother with this one.
Rating: Summary: A pleasant suprise Review: This thriller was a surprise to me as I had not imagined Louisa May Alcott wrote this genre. As with all other Louisa May Alcott books, it is well written and has a depth that most modern books lack.
Rating: Summary: Ravishing! Alcott never seems to amaze me! Review: This was a superb book! I really felt pity and sorrow for Rose. I felt I was in the chase with her. I kept hoping that Tempest would not be just around the corner. I thought the love between Ignatius and Rose was so pure. It was a shame they felt that they could never be as one. Although the book ends as it does, it is, in the truest sense, a romance.
