Rating: Summary: Oh, what fun! Review: I had a ton of fun with this book. Can't remember how long it has been since I enjoyed a book so much! The characters are well-developed, the storyline addictive, and the plot entertaining as all get-out! I cannot wait for the next in this series to hit the bookshelves.
Rating: Summary: Make it into a MOVIE Review: Forget Jackie Collins. Forget Danielle Steele. Readers like myself love the writing style of Victoria Taylor Murray. Her follow-up book, Forbidden kept me hooked from page one! I'm just going back now to reread Thief of Hearts!
Rating: Summary: Forbidden (the Lambert Series, book 2) Review: This book was excellent! You are at the end of your seat the whole way through. I could not put it down and now I am waiting paitently for the 3rd book to come out. I can't wait to buy it!
Rating: Summary: Intriguing Story Mate ! Review: I thought "Forbidden" by V.T. Murray was an intriguing story. Even though it is somwhat of a long read it is also a quick one. 408 pages and I finished it in just two reads. The story is centered around one earth-shattering week in the life of a beautiful, young woman who jumped into marriage with a man she knew little about. Now, two years later, her fairy tale marriage suddenly turns South and she goes in search of answers to not only why her marriage is in a shambles, but she is determined to find out who her wealthy husband really is. I was left with a need to know what was going to happen next in this must read cliffhanger. I think most people that read this story will have as much fun as I did.
Rating: Summary: "I love this on-going soap saga" Review: I love this new author's on-going soap saga. Two books. Two visits to an isalnd paradise made entirely for the wealthest of people. Now, I have two more visits to go. I can hardly wait...this story is that good!
Rating: Summary: Better and Better Review: I most appreciate Victoria's imagination for a story and all of the hard work that went into writing a four book series. Who could do that? "Forbidden" is the continuation of book one, "Thief of Hearts." Like any good mystery, in this second installment of the Lambert series, the plot thickens. Other reviewers have told you what this is about. I won't but will say that Victory Murray has the heart and soul of a good, someday to be great, writer. Keep your eye on her. Give "Forbidden" a try.
Rating: Summary: Forbidden............. Molly's Reviews Review: Title: . Forbidden Author: . Victoria Taylor Murray Genre: Romantic Thriller Line/Publisher: . AmErica House Release Date: . 2001 ISBN: 1-58851-594-X eBook Formats Interesting Read Recommended 3.5 stars The Review: Nouri St. Charles Sommers is dismayed when her husband Ethan has been gone for days. Not only that, but now his attorney Clint Chamberlain seems to have disappeared as well. Nouri and Clint have carried the torch for one another since before her marriage to Ethan. On top of everything Becka Chamberlain and another young woman have been murdered. Unbeknownst to Nouri, Clint is out searching for Ethan. The attorney is certain that Ethan has again begun taking drugs. Clint thinks Ethan must have murdered a young woman he does not know. Not too much time passes before Clint must come to grips with the fact that Ethan is most certainly involved in much more than being hooked on drugs. Nouri would like to divorce her billionaire husband and hires a detective to find the man. When she receives a death threat Nouri decides she wants nothing more to do with Clint. Gabe Baldwin the detective who is supposed to be protecting Nouri soon believes himself in love with her. Forbidden is the second in Writer Murray's Lambert Series. The anecdote is filled with pithy dialogue as well as being peopled with lusty and determined characters set against a backdrop of conniving and intrigue. The tale travels from Boston to Lambert up in New England to Connecticut, then to France and China before returning to the Eastern Bay near Cape Cod. The reader is offered a peek into the seamier side of life as the tale surrounding Ethan Sommers unfolds. That Ethan Sommers is an individual little satisfied with his wealth, his wife, or anything else is revealed in explicit manner. Forbidden is as much a tale of the misery at times brought about by wealth without principle as it is a glimpse into the hopes of a group of desperate, lonely people who are not always positve what they want even when it is before them. Each of the major characters has a yen for someone who may not be well suited or available to them. The reader is caught up in the tale from the outset as Nouri ponders where her husband may be. I look forward to reviewing another in this series. There are some small areas where editing might be in order to tighten up the 'ly endings, however on the whole Forbidden moves right along, the story is credible and the writing does hold the interest of the reader. True to the Genre. Not for everyone, some graphic sex, some profanity.
Rating: Summary: "A total of 35 fun characters in this fun series" Review: The most fun I have had in ages is trying to keep up with all of this writer's fun characters. Thirty-five to be exact. I'm stunned! Of course, I enjoy following (like most people) the heroine, Nouri St. Charles Sommers from page to page, but then on the other hand, Nouri's bestfriend, naughty and whacko Genna Matthews has peaked my curiosity as well and I find myself excitedly wanting to know what is going to happen with her next. What a hoot she is...HA! Can hardly wait for "Friendly Enemies" to hit the bookshelves!
Rating: Summary: I, really, really, really, liked this story ! Review: I honestly did! I thought the characters were believable and the dialogue fun. Especially, the dialogue between Nori Sommers (the beautiful young billionairess), and, Gabe Baldwin (the handsome Boston homicide detective.) I also enjoyed the dialogue between detective Baldwin and young detective Al Ballard as they were slowly making their way up the ten mile stretch of driveway leading to the massive Sommers estate. A very believable conversation between two homicide detectives, I thought. Fun Story. I look froward to the next book in this series.
Rating: Summary: "The perfect cliffhanger for me" Review: I love stories like "Forbidden" by Victoria Murray. Fun stories that supplies the reader with plenty to read about. The dialogue is equally fun and the plot is a real cliffhanger. I am most anxious for the next book in the series.
