Summary: not good
Review: OK, this time I will try not to violate any Amazon.com guidelines that will get this honest review pulled from the site. This is about the content of this book: It is trite. The book is filled with misspellings and grammatical errors. The author may have been trying her best, but this is not, I repeat, not, a good book. I am sorry. I wish it was. Really. But it is not. There. I feel better now.

Summary: AuthorZone.Com Book Review
Review: Nouri St. Charles Sommers is distressed that her husband Ethan has been gone for days and now suddenly his attorney Clint Chamberlain seems to have disappeared as well. Nouri and Clint have carried the torch for one another since before her marriage to Ethan. To top it all off Becka Chamberlain and another young woman have been murdered.

Clint is hunting for Ethan. The attorney is convinced Ethan is again taking drugs and must have murdered a young woman he does not know. Before long Clint must come to grips with the fact that Ethan is involved in much more than being hooked on drugs.

Nouri would like to divorce her billionaire husband hires a detective to find man, she receives a death threat and decides she wants nothing more to do with Clint. Gabe Baldwin the detective who is supposed to be guarding Nouri soon believes himself in love with her.

"Forbidden" is the second in Writer Taylor's Lambert Series. Taylor's narrative is filled with pithy dialogue along with lusty and determined characters set against a backdrop of machination, conniving and intrigue. The narrative travels from Boston to Lambert up in New England to Connecticut, then to France and China before returning to the Eastern Bay near Cape Cod. We are offered a peek into the seamier side of life as the story surrounding Ethan Sommers unfolds. That Ethan Sommers is a man who is little satisfied with his wealth, his wife, or anything else is revealed in explicit manner.

"Forbidden" is as much a tale of the dissolution wrought by wealth without principle as it is a glimpse into the yearnings of a group of desperate, lonely people who are not always certain what they want even when it is before them. Each of the major characters has a yen for someone who may not be well suited or available to them.

The reader is caught up in the tale from the outset as Nouri ponders where her husband may be.

I look forward to reviewing another in the series. There are some small areas where editing might be in order to tighten up the -ly endings, however on the whole "Forbidden" moves right along, the story is plausible and the writing does hold the interest of the
reader.

True to the Genre. Not for everyone, some graphic sex, some profanity.

Summary: Provocative, enticing, entertaining
Review: This author is fabulous. She knows how to entertain her readers to the extreme with a story that gets better with each book. I'm a fan and can't wait to move on to 3 and 4.

Summary: A Winner
Review: 'Forbidden.' second book in Victoria Taylor Murray's Lambert series, finds heroine, Nouri Sommers, in a triple dilemma: She is seeking evidence to expedite a divorce from her philandering husband, working to prove herself innocent of the Lambert murders and needing protection from a demented stalker threatening to end her life. Murray's talent is very evident in this action packed tale as she details the lives of the excessive-drinking, overly sexed, decadent ultra-rich. Using a well-plotted story line the author draws you deeper into the turmoil of 'Forbidden,' revealing just enough information to keep you engrossed while tickling your libido with page after page of well written sexual tension.
Although FORBIDDEN is a longer narrative than THIEF OF HEARTS it is faster paced and more easily read. Congratulations, Victoria, on a sure winner. Looking forward to book three in the series...

Summary: Midwest Book Review - murder, intrigue, new loves
Review: Book Two of the Lambert Series picks up where Thief of Hearts left off, with two murders to investigate and storms brewing in Nouri Sommers' life. Nouri is a somewhat trusting and ingenuous heroine who finds herself embroiled in several layers of deception. Her inattentive, drug addicted and twisted billionaire husband Ethan has disappeared without a trace. Two old lovers who cannot seem to get her out of their systems - attorney Clint Chamberlain and investigator Charles Mason - are jockeying for her favors. And to top it all off, a man who shows all signs of being her one true soul mate enters the picture. Gabe Baldwin is the friend and ex-partner of Charles Mason, and a homicide detective in Boston. And all this plays out against the privileged backdrops of Lambert, Boston, London and Paris.

Unsolved murders that suggest Nouri's involvement are just the tip of the iceberg in Forbidden. The Chinese Mob rears its ugly head, stalking Nouri for unknown reasons. Friends turn against friends in vicious retributions for past imagined sins.
Even Gabe Baldwin's considerable skill is not enough to protect her from the double dealing friends and enemies that stalk her. Gabe is a man of honor, determined to avoid what he considers to be "forbidden fruit" as his attraction for Nouri eases into love. Gabe's tortured character was my favorite, but Ms. Murray does a grand job of developing all of her interesting characters.

I'll simply have to read the next two books in the Lambert Series now. The author left me hanging, curious, wondering how these threads would be connected in the end. Will Nouri survive? Will truth, honor, and justice prevail? Will Gabe's pain be eased or must he suffer all his life? I can't wait to find out!

Recommended for mature readers due to strong sexual content.

Summary: Another Winner for Victoria
Review: It gets pretty hot in Maui, but when you add the heat created by a Victoria Taylor Murray romantic suspense novel, well you better be close to the ocean, the pool or a cold shower. This is the second book in the series and I read it in a cold bath. Steamed up that water pretty good. Wow! That's all I have to say.

Summary: How Come the Forbidden Fruit is Always the Best
Review: Just ask Eve. Hey wait, I didn't mean that, but I do mean that this is one fun read. You won't be able to put this one down. Who killed who and why and why are fingers pointing at Nouri. Just simply a delicious story, but I'm afraid that when you finish, you'll only be half way there. Two more to go. Yippee, I can hardly wait.

Summary: Book Two is Teriffic, But it Left Me Aching for More
Review: The story continues in this, the second novel of Victoria Taylor Murray's impossible to put down Lambert series. Our herione has more men to contend with than she can shake a stick at, but which one will be the one for her, certainly not the husband, who has vanished like the wind, but will there will be one for her, an everlasting love? I'm afraid that to find out you'll have to read this book, the ones that come after it as well, but don't worry, the ride is a blast.

Summary: A Great Follow Up!
Review: I sure hope this author continues to churn out these books! I can't wait to read the next in the series. What a wonderful and hooking storyline! I could not put it down. I highly recommend this to all readers, you will NOT be sorry!!
