Summary: Good book!
Review: I have to admit "Welcome to Temptation" is my favorite book. That's what got me started on this author. While this one wasn't as good, it was still a lot of fun to read. The inclusion of some of the characters from "Temptation" was a definite plus and admittedly since I live in Columbus I like the book being set in areas I'm familiar.Some of the things other reviewers had a problem with I enjoyed. For example, the songs on the juke box and references to old movies. But, being a fan of old movies & songs is probably why. I liked the cast of characters and the plot. And as usual, I couldn't stop laughing especially at Tilda & Davy's "personality disguises" while trying to retrieve the paintings. What I didn't enjoy for the first half of the book was Tilda & Davy's sexual relationship. It seemed Davy just wanted sex and his partner could have been any warm body (it was Eve he was most attracted to in the first part of the book). Tilda obviously didn't enjoy herself but Davy didn't seem very concerned about that, as long as he was satisfied. It would have been nice if they'd sat down and really talked about what the problem was instead of ignoring it. However, Davy sure made up for it in the second half! I would definitely recommend this book!

Review: Simply a delight - fantastic, sharp, witty sense of humor weaved thoughout the funny, interesting, and involving story. But then again, everyone knows that already about Jennifer Cruisie's writing!

Summary: Great Davy Story
Review: We met Davy in Welcome to Temptation, now he has his own story and it is wonderful.
As usual Crusie has drawn strong main and secondary characters. Davy and Tilda are made for each other. He's there to save her when she NEEDs saving the most. Ford rescues Gwen, both well-developed secondary characters, from Double-Crostics and vodka. And I haven't even touched on Nadine, Eve, Andrew, Simon, Ethan, Louise, Mason or Clea.
Another great read from Crusie.

Summary: Mildly entertaining!
Review: Unlike a lot of friends of this over-rated writer I was disappointed with this book! I thought the characters were plastic and boring and the plot wasn't even remotely plausable. I'm not wasting any more time and money on this so-so writer's books. It's back to the real romantic pros in the business like Stella Cameron, L.K. Hamilton, or Joana Ross...real romance writers...that's what I'm talkin'.

Summary: Surprisingly Worth It!
Review: I NEVER would have picked up this book, not even to read the back. I generally read fantasy. I was shopping one day though and this book was packaged with Nora Roberts Three Fates, another good read, and that one DID interest me though it too was not what I thought. This book is funny and keeps you on your feet. I Love Louise...you'll have to read the book to get that one. And the concept behind it was a good one. Not too mushy on the romance which is a plus for me since mush turns my stomach. I may actually have to look into other books by these authors.

Summary: A Fast, Fun Read, But Not Crusie's Best
Review: Matilda Goodnight knows that she will spend the rest of her life trying to pay off the Goodnight debts and hide the Goodnight secrets. Unfortunately, she may have to spend the rest of her life painting murals of famous paintings on people's bathroom walls, too. For this, if nothing else, Matilda knows she is destined to go to hell. But things get much worse when she breaks into Clea Lewis' home to try and steal back a painting from her. Not only did she not find the painting, but she ended up hiding in the closet with charming con man Davy Dempsey, who was there to steal back his three million dollars from Clea. Before she knew what was happening, Tilda found herself being kissed like she had never been kissed before and forming some kind of partnership with the would be thief. Still, Tilda found that Davy has his uses... Unfortunately, one of them was not to give her the best sex of her life as Davy caught her faking an orgasm, or trying to anyway, the first time he made love to her. But Davy has a mission and is not about to be put off by her lack of response, although he takes it as a personal challenge to make her come for him the next time. In no time at all, Tilda and Davy are up to their necks in forged paintings, attempted thefts, redecorating the gallery, solving the problems of Tilda's wacky family and just falling in love. But will the love last through Tilda's hang ups and Davy's love of a good con? I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Crusie, as I have enjoyed almost all of her books, but I did not think that this was her best book. I was a bit put off by Tilda and did not really like her as a character so I had a hard time identifying with her and enjoying her quirks and strange habits. I did like Davy and I liked the cast of secondary characters, of which there are many, and Crusie has a lot of zingy one liners in the book that will make anyone laugh. The plot moves quickly with all kinds of secondary subplots popping up like dandelions on an unmowed lawn, almost too many, but it isn't like we are dealing with complicated issues here. On the whole I would say that this is a fast, fun read, not particularly memorable, but a fun break from your day to day.

Summary: Didn't Have To Fake Liking This one
Review: At first glance, Crusie's books appear to be just chick lit, but when I began reading, I quickly discovered an intricate plot-line and very real/likable characters. It's hard to choose the bad guy in this book, since everyone has done something they shouldn't, and I was kept guessing about who would take the real heat until the very end. I was only disappointed when I had to close the book at the end. I wanted more.

Summary: Wasted my time
Review: Aarrgghhhhh so frustrating reading this book. I almost didn't finish it, but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and plowed through it. The characters are so unbelieveable. They reminded me of stick figures. I did chuckle a few times, only because it was so ridiculous! If you want to read a fun, energetic, very delightful action packed book, read the Stephanie Plum series from Janet Evanovich. You won't be disappointed there. You'll want more, when with this book, I wanted to cry at the end from frustration.

Summary: Great dialogue makes this book worth reading
Review: This was the first Jennifer Crusie novel I ever read. I almost stopped reading after the first chapter, because there were so many different characters involved, I couldn't follow the story. However, I soldiered on, and by the time I finished the book, I loved it! I am giving the book 4 stars because of the plethora of extraneous characters. If the book had less extraneous characters, I would have given it 5 stars. The one liners in this book make this book worth reading--they are hilarious! After reading this book, I went out and bought 3 more of her books, two of which I have already read and thoroughly enjoyed. I like that her books have a little romance and a lot of mystery. Her books are very entertaining, which is all I really ask for in a novel.
