Rating: Summary: And the wait was worth it...... Review: I was so overly excited when I heard that Sasha Borianni was back! I had to know how she fixed things up after Threesome. Fourplay was a good read, less risque than threesome, however obvious a little suspense, and drama to her already busy life. The very busy entrepeaneur who suffers from anxiety is in the mix juggling 2 new men, Jordan, and Lyor along with Trent, and Phoenix from her past. To add to her hectic life Arshell, her best friend is having a menopause related affair, and her dad has cancer. After reading this with the very provocative title, and book cover, I must admit I did expect it to be a lot more! I am happy that she was able to shift through things and figure out the differences between sex & love.
Rating: Summary: Awful, Just Plain Awful Review: I've been eagerly awaiting the return of Sasha Borianni since her initial introduction in Threesome last year. I'm glad to see that she has returned with the same vitality, vim and vigor as when first introduced. The eagerly awaited sequel Fourplay has finally arrived on the scene. The familiar cast of characters, Sasha is not for the faint of heart. Although she is portrayed as a powerful and smart business lady, her business acumen isn't necessarily centered on common widespread and acceptable practices. She isn't ashamed to admit that she uses what she has, to get where she needs to be. Sasha is joined by her old flame and ex-boss, NBA Basketball star Phoenix Carter are joined by new players - banking executive Jordan Ashe; another old love Trent; and wealthy financier Lyor Turrell. With the increased man count, one can imagine a shocking increase in the drama but Miss Sasha has it well under control. Fourplay finds Sasha embarking on the journey toward opening her own high profile public relations firm - Platinum Images. Hustling for her clientele, she still manages to maintain a hyperactive social calendar. Through one of these social interactions she meets Lyor. Immediately drawn in by her infectious charm he seeks to get to know her better. Secretly however, he is aware of her previous relationship with Phoenix. This knowledge leads to interesting twists that Threesome didn't have. Phoenix returns, seeking Sasha's professional assistance in making his name shine in the public eye, and save his career in the NBA. Meanwhile, the love of her life for the moment seems to be banking executive Jordan but her ex fiancé Trent isn't trying to be excluded from the picture either. Fourplay is more than just romance and sexual conquests. There are interesting snippets that clearly show Sasha has a caring and compassionate family side as well. There is even blackmail, mystery and intrigue to keep the reader enthralled. Not always portrayed as a diva that didn't mind using her sexuality as a business asset, author Brenda Thomas has expanded a seemingly shallow character into a more mature and well-rounded individual. However, as the new dynamics of deceit unfold, Sasha might be on the verge of getting played. It is this quiet and lurking thought, which keeps both Sasha lovers and haters reading until the very end. Just reading about these three men and their one woman, the reader's mind begins to spin. This novel is masterfully written because all of the characters are well defined and easy to follow which in turn makes for enjoyable reading.
Rating: Summary: A sizzling romance Review: In Philadelphia, Sasha Borianni and her partner Michael Taylor run Platinum Media, a public relations firm that provides spin control for its clients whether it is a Pastor, a politician, a banker or an NBA great. Sasha tends to mix business with pleasure though she knows better having lost a fiancé for doing just that. Still she cannot resist the charm of handsome banker Jordan Ashe, her firm's latest client even as her former lover and employer NBA superstar Phoenix Carter desperately needs her help as word in the media is that he shaved points. International trader Lyor Turrell meets Sasha at a gala and soon sends work her way. They make love, but he has a hidden agenda involving Phoenix, stolen gems, and the murder of his older brother Barry. Finally, her fiancé Trent Russell, rising New jersey politician, wants her back in his life as he has never stopped loving her though he broke it off two years ago due to her infidelity. With her father ailing and her adult son and his wife and children returned from California, Sasha still finds the time to hop in a few beds even as she provides top of the line PR service to her clients. Though the promiscuousness of the lead protagonist will bother some readers, fans will appreciate this warm character study. The story line takes a more serious tone than typical chick lit tales as Sasha's PR work is fascinating to follow, which is when the story line is at its best. The delightful FOURPLAY...DANCE OF SENSUALITY provides a deep look at the complete life of its star. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: Brilliant, Incredible, Hot, Steamy.... Review: It was great to reaquaint with the crew... Sasha has grown into an exceptional entrepreneur with a compassionate staff of employees. Sasha son has matured into a incredible young man with a wife and kids and decided to relocate closer to his family and employment opportunities. Trent is still on the scene with a love interest but we all know his heart is still with Sasha. Phoenix is still up to his tricks and married however his wife is feeling a little leary about her husband and Sasha relationship. There is a new snake in the pit and this one is real poisonous. This snake is slithering around Sasha for her love and attention; however, there are other reasons why he is on the scene... In this book, you will realize what genuine love is all about. Family is one of the most important possessions in our lifetime...Also, you learn why family is so important and why we become depended on one another. This book is like a motion picture, just sit back and let the characters play out their role... Sasha is still looking for love in all the wrong places; however, in the end she does find her knight in shinning amour. Phoenix is still a great basketball player however he has entered a world of conflict and crime which will make or break him. Overall, a great story with compassion, substance, excitement, happiness and most important, hot and steamy [adult] scenes. This brings closure to "The Sasha Bourianni" experience and it actually made me think I knew these characters as they were so real to life...Sometimes life is similar to pages of a manuscript...
Rating: Summary: Okay Review: Now I truly enjoyed threesome but fourplay was not all that because it started off slow and then when it started to be good it was more towards the middle of the book. That was my only problem It just was not her best.
Rating: Summary: Headed for Self-Destruction Review: Once again Ms. Thomas showcases the sexually active protagonist Sasha Borianni. In her debut novel Threesome: Where Seduction, Power and Basketball Collide, Sasha finds herself playing a self destructive mistress. Fourplay: The Dance of Sensuality Sasha continues to exhibit self-destructive behavior. Through a mirage of men she continues to believe she will find the self-worth she long ago lost as she walks in her father's shoes as a swinging hustler, but this time she is all grown up and learning how to do it a little better. Sasha Borianni and her partner Michael Taylor provide PR (public relations) services from Ms. Boriannis' firm called Platinum Images, whose main focus at times seems to be damage control. Trying to balance her private and business life proves to be difficult for Sasha. Having lost a fiancé once before for mixing business with pleasure doesn't seem to faze Sasha in the least. Fourplay is not as exciting as Threesome but they both are [errotic].
Rating: Summary: She's a Mess Review: Sasha B. was off the hook! She can't keep her legs closed for 2 seconds. She's a beautiful powerful sista with a sucessful business but a very unstable social life. She bounces from brotha, to brotha, to brotha, to cracka, back to brotha. This is a perfect example of what life would be like if you let your career dictate your life. In the end you'd be finacially stable, lonely, depressed, confussed and unfullfilled. Learn a lesson from Ms. Sasha, only open your legs to the man you love or you find yourself in deep Suga Honey Ice Tea.
Rating: Summary: I would recommend this book Review: Sasha Borianni is the middle aged founder and owner of the successful Platinum Images public relations firm in Philadelphia. She is the mother of one and grandmother of two, but she is in no way your average grandma. Sasha has a habit of mixing business with pleasure and ends up as the steady girlfriend of her banker/client, Jordan Ashe while almost simultaneously starting a torrid affair with international businessman Lyor Turrell, who helped her land a major public relations account. As if Sasha does not already have her hands full, she also agrees to rehab the image of her former lover, basketball superstar, Phoenix Carter. Pleasure is never to far from business when Sasha and Phoenix are together. Sasha races through the book in overdrive. She travels all over the country tending to her business interests, is active in the lives of her father and son, and still has time to engage in dalliances with three different men. It is no wonder she takes Paxil for panic and anxiety. I was worn out just reading about her escapades! The book is not deep and does not make you ponder important societal issues, but it is a great deal of fun. Sasha is a likable and you could not help but root for her to get what ever she wanted, although most of the time she could not slow down enough to figure out what she wanted. While the secondary characters lacked depth (Jordan Ashe is the stereotypical boring, materialistic banker, and Phoenix Carter is your classic self absorbed athlete who seems to have a great deal in common with Michael Jordan), the character of Sasha is well developed and interesting. Making main character an older woman with a passion for life is a refreshing change in contemporary African-American fiction and I thought it worked very well. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something light and entertaining. reviewed by misrich Mahogany Albany, N.Y.
Rating: Summary: Visit Sasha's World Review: Sasha Borianni leads the life that most of us never will. Not only is she gorgeous, she has a wonderful job and many men who would love to spend quality time with her. Fourplay....the dance of sensuality is the long awaited sequel to Threesome...where love and basketball collide. I'm a big basketball fan, so I picked up Threesome as soon as it came out and enjoyed it thoroughly and shared it with friends. In Fourplay, Sasha has several men courting her attention (Phoenix, Trent, Jordan and Lyor). Although the title is Fourplay, this is not some sleazy, kinky book. Although it's definitely sexy and stimulating, it's not a trashy romance novel. This book is really well written, faced paced and exciting. Sasha is also a family oriented person who loves and cherishes her family members. I enjoy Brenda Thomas' writing style. In the early chapters of the book she lets the readers get into each character's psyche with select paragraphs written from the male characters point of view. Although this book isn't as basketball heavy as Threesome the sports fan will still be titillated by the book and share several inside jokes that the everyday reader might not pick up on, for example Phonenix's lawyers are with the Mitchell & Ness law firm, a clear shout out to the NBA jersey kings and longtime Philadelphia company. This book is very exciting with many twists and turns. It's sexy, adventure and will take you to a different place. Many of us lead everyday lives, but Sasha has more drama than a little bit. As Playstation says live in your world, play in ours, read Fourplay.....the dance of sensuality and spend a little time in Sasha's world and live in your world. I for one can say her life is much more exciting than mine! She may have drama but she is a lucky girl.
Rating: Summary: Dumb Bird Review: Sasha was smart with her money, but when it came to love she was dumber than a doorbell. Her life was overwhelmed with her business that she didn't have time to properly think about her own life. I made myself finish reading this book. I enjoyed the 1st novel "THREESOME" so much better. The author is talented and has written things that tickle your imagination. It was a chore to finish reading this book, because Sasha, the main character irritated my nerves with her nonsense decisions in her personal life. I would consider this author again, only because I like the sophistatication of her writing; but I hope she gives her characters a brain in her next work.
