Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend by Lynda Curnyn Review: Ms. Curnyn's book and the misadventures of her heart-warming heroine, Emma Carter, kept me highly entertained, smiling, and thankfully absorbed through a bout of strep throat--no easy task! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a good, page-turning read, and a taste of single city life. I can't wait for her next work!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Another boring single-something book Review: Slightly better than some of this genre, but not much - still boring and predictable.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I must confess it is a good book Review: The book is a quick and enjoyable read. The character Emma Carter will have you laughing from beginning to end. You can't help but relate to some of her experiences and that's what makes the book so good.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Some truths about the "Ex" factor! Review: There's the old saying (and song) that goes breaking up is hard to do. Well, after her boyfriend, Derrick, moves to L.A. to pursue a career as a screenwriter, Emma Carter has no other choice but to accept that the relationship is over. She finds it difficult to cope with her newfound single status and eating pints of ice cream and complain about her job at a bridal magazine are the icing on the cake. To make matters worse, her mother is about to get married for the fourth time, her friend Jade is having a liaison with a 22-year-old Italian stud, and her other friend Alyssa is lusting after her dog's veterinarian, despite being attached to a wonderful man. So Emma makes a few confessions that every woman should know about when the time comes when you become an ex-girlfriend. There are some fun moments and few surprises. However, it has nothing new to offer in the chick lit genre. I recommend this book, but I should also advice you to not expect an extravaganza. Just enjoy the ex-girlfriend antics and marvel at the similarities -- since every woman has been the ex-girlfriend at some point in her life -- that you may have with the self-deprecating heroine.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: So fun be sure you have enough time to read in one sitting! Review: This book is fun for single girls and married ones alike! Emma Carter is a real person with real concerns and we get to watch her develop herself from a woman with insecurities about herself, her career and her relationship with men, into a woman who goes after the career and man she wants. Ultimately, this means that Emma has to first find out who she is before she can figure out what she wants. You'll find some of yourself in her. But you'll also find she inspires you to find out who YOU really want to be. Have fun with this one!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is hysterical and all girls can relate! Review: This book is so funny! I honestly couldn't put it down and I read whenever I got a free minute! Any girl who has ever been in a relationship and has also encountered the dating scene will completely relate to this book! The author has an incredible way of capturing every exact feeling and emotion that every "ex-girlfriend" goes through and does it with a very funny tone! I HIGHLY recommend this book to all the other "ex-girlfriends" out there, you'll absolutely love it!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Loved It Review: This book is the perfect antidote to a breakup. Reading it made me laugh and feel better about myself. And even if you didn't just get dumped...read it anyway, because it will make you smile!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Another boring single-something book Review: This book was a fantastic read! Not only was I sincerely interested in seeing Emma get over her stagnant relationship with Derrick, the beau who ditched his cozy life with her so nonchalantly, but I was in stitches from her wit and charm. Lynda Curnyn did a fabulous job taking us through Emma's journey-one to which many of us can relate-of a sassy & single woman who's just floating through life with a job (and lifestyle?) that is only half of what it could be to a life that has so much more promise. The modern day heroine, Emma, is so easy to love and it's impossible NOT to route for her. I found myself cheering out-loud for her during her moments of clarity and gusto. You will WANT to see her get out of her funk and take those scary and daring steps towards the life she really wants to live! I emphatically recommend this book! This might be my favorite RED DRESS INK publishing yet!

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Not as good as other Red Dress Ink books Review: This book was entertaining, as most books by this publishing line are. However, the plot isn't developed enough. This is a one-day read. It is simple and enjoyable, but I've read better books.
