Summary: Addicted...hm...more like DRAMATIC!
Review: I thought that this book was okay. It is the first book by Zane that I have ever read. I got into it at first, but then the end was so RIDICULOUSLY dramatic that it just messed up the whole book. Over all it was worth the read i guess, but when you find out the "true" natures of the characters at the end, it's just like, "what the heck happened here?"

Summary: I was totally disapointed.
Review: I read her previous book and it was pretty cool but this one I am not too happy with. I was totally disapointed in the beginning and the ending. The middle was pretty decent but all else was horrible.

Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: This was an excellent book. I read it over a month ago and I am fighting myself not to read it again. Yes, it is erotica and much more. This book makes you feel uninhibited (American Heritage Dictionary definition: Free from traditional, social, or moral constraints. EMPHASIS ON MORAL CONSTRAINTS) and no matter what the relationship is like between you and your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other, it makes you want to take it to another level. It gives you a sexy kind of feeling. Zane is an excellent writer and the book has many surprises. This is a must read and I will be purchasing quite a few copies to give as Christmas gifts. Enjoy!

P.S. This book was highly recommended to me by women AND men so fellas, be sure to pick up a copy.

Summary: What a disappointment!
Review: I pretty much agree with the people who gave this book three stars or less. Here is what I want to add...

Addiction started off at a slow pace and tumbled soon after. This was definitely a book that lasted 50 pages too long. There was so much drama going on, even the main character wanted to know when it would end! At about mid-way through the book, Addiction was exhausting to read. At this point, I no longer cared what happened to Zoe or Jason. I was ready for all the madness to end. The author went into painstakingly detail of how much these two loved each other (it was mentioned on every single page), however Zoe's destructive behavior would conveniently push this aside. Of course once the guilt set in,
we were again reminded of her undying love for her husband. I'm assuming the author was attempting to portray the horrific nature of addiction and how it can totally destroy one's life. Well he succeeded because by the end of the book the phrase "Always has been! Always will be! was a mockery. In the case of Addiction, less is more! There was really no need to heap that much drama into one story to garner the same effect the author would have gotten with less dramatics. We get the point!

Addiction wasn't totally a bad story. I believe Zoe really did love Jason, she just had a problem. I enjoyed hearing about the romantic moments they had together. But even those were overshadowed by her secret life. If the story would have dealt more with solving her sexual addiction and not with her lunatic lovers, I would have been more receptive to the outcome. I do commend the author for writing in a therapist, however once we get to the end and the crux of both Jason and Zoe's issues are revealed, it is not as dramatic as we are lead to believe. In fact, I wasn't shocked or emotionally moved at all. All the other drama going on around them is more "on-the-edge-of-your-sit" suspense. In the end, no matter how you slice it, Zoe had her cake and ate it too! Did she bite off more than she could chew? Of course, but she sure got her fill of it before she started throwing up.

Summary: A Hot Mess!!! Why is this book a bestseller????
Review: I thought this was 1 of the worst books I have ever read........ I am still trying to figure out why this book is so popular, the writing is so amatuerish & annoying. Who is this book supposed to appeal to? I truly believe the graphic sex in this book is the only reason people are drawn to it and are recommending it to others.
What a waste of money. I am considering writing a book now, Hell, if people are digging this mess, I know I can write a book.
I gave this book away, I didn't even want it in my bookcase. ...

Summary: a must have
Review: I thought that the book Addicted was a great book. The way Zane Wrote was just incrediable. Everything in this piece was breath taking, as you get into the book you have to pry yourself away from it. As for me it was hard to put the book down because as i began to read each chapter i began more addicted to the book, which allowed me to continue reading. Reading the book and thinking about the things that the main character went through made it seem as though she was someone real, someone you could meet in everyday life. It is also a good piece because sex addiction is something that many people have. I think that if people read this book they can see what people with that condition go through. The book allows you to see things from their point of view for a change. I think if you enjoy authors with a excellent vocaubulary, that knows how to use imagary, and make you feel as though you are right there while everything is happening then this is the book for you to read.

Summary: Putting on my hard hat
Review: Because I know that there is going to be some flack for this review. "Addicted" was the first work from Zane that I read. The book kept my attention and I read the book in one day because I really wanted to find out where Zoe's addiction was going. Although the book is filled with her many instances of self gratification and infidelities, there has to be some more substance to it. I really wanted there to be some "real" reasoning behind her addiction, but that didnt happen. I felt as though her reasoning behind her addiction just didnt add up. Not enough to cause Zoe to have that "I gotta have it here and now" additute that she had throughout the book. Her reasoning behind her addiction, to me, just wasn't believable. I do think that Zane did, however, give Zoe's husband (I forget his name) a valid reason for his none willingness to "be creative" in the bed.

As far as Zoe's affairs go, I never saw the last one coming because there were no clues given. She plainly stated that she wasn't interested in women, which made that part of the storyline not make sense. It seems as though that affair was just thrown in there to fill space. Also, the scene at the hospital didnt make sense.

The ending totally caught me off guard. All and all, the book was ok. Sex sells, true, but I was hoping for more...I can't put my finger on it, but something was just lacking.

Summary: Addicted
Review: Awesome. From the very beginning to the very last page Addicted was awesome. I cannot express to you how much I really enjoyed reading this book. The book was well written. Zane's imagination and the storyline was well put together. I won't go into details about the book but I will say that it was well worth reading. She really brought the characters to life. Once you get into this book I guarantee that you'll have a hard time putting it down. Zane you are a wonderful author keep up the good work and I do expect to see more from you in the near future. "Heatseekers" and "Shame on it all" were very good books as well. But I must say that Addicted kept me going I found myself wanting more. Hopefully this will become a movie.
