Summary: Fascinating and suspenseful read
Review: If you are going to (or have) read The Da Vinci Code, you have to read this book as well. Both books follow the same style in how the plot unfolds and how the reader is drawn into the dramatic conclusion. And, while the style and form are not particularly original, the author's use of symbolism and religious factoids make it far more interesting than other books of the same genre. It's definitely a can't-put-down-page-turner. So, be sure to find yourself some "free time" before you dive in.

Summary: When story telling skill and insight are combined ...
Review: Expertly woven story, a real page turner. At the same time, the author is able to insert history and philosophical arguments -from both sides of the equation - without breaking the continuity of the story but rather enhancing it. What a master of story telling! What great insights into religion and history!

Summary: Wow -- an E-ticket ride!
Review: Reading this book was something akin to riding a roller coaster for the first time -- no -- more like riding the Space Shuttle for the first time!

It's a phenomenal mystery story -- a thriller in every sense; but even more than that, it's a highly intelligent weaving of intricate details that come together in a way that no mind but Dan Brown's could ever have imagined. I haven't been so delightedly surprised by a book in a long time. I was very pleased with it and decided to join in with many others in praising it's delights.

I do have to say that the general tone of the book was dark and that some of the images were disturbing, but the premise was mesmerizing and it stretched my mind in directions I never thought possible. DO read this is you love a good puzzle and enjoy great endings. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Horrid
Review: This is some of the worst prose you will ever read. Does anyone else detect the not so subtle tone of racism directed at Arabs in this book? Avoid at all costs.

Summary: Angels & Demons
Review: Loved it, Loved it! I read it as a prelude to The Davinci Code, which I am reading now. As a Buff on QM & the nonsense put out by the Cathlic Church, I was already familiar with the Illuminati. A Cathlic myself I know the Church is not all nonsense, but they never give you a chance to make up your own mind, since they have decided what information to publish and what to squash. But, I digress from the book, which is thrilling, entertaining & enlightening. I particularly appreciate the fact that Dan Brown preludes his book with letting you know what is fact and how much is fiction. I found myself going back and referring to this several times. I was surprised to learn that CERN has actually produced anti-mater.

Summary: Great Thriller
Review: Wow!!This book is so good I read all 500 or so pages within a week. There are no boring parts in this entire books even the first page is exciting because this is when the murder takes place. Dan Brown really knows what he is doing judging on his style of writing and ability to make people like myself understand many complicated things. The ending is what I like the most though, I did not see it coming at all. You see a definate change to a certain character and it will shock you I gaurentee it!! You have to read this book, it is just as good as the Da Vinchi Code which is getting more attention then this.

Summary: My favorite so far!
Review: I read this before reading the Da Vinci Code. It still remains my favorite of his books. The perfect mix, James Bond and Indiana Jones! Write more soon Mr.Brown, we are on the edge of our seats waiting to see what is next!

Summary: Great book! Dan Brown is really establishing himself
Review: First let me caveat you...I read this after reading "The DaVinci Code". That was the first of his books that I had read, and it is actually the sequel to this one. It is because of the order of reading that I am giving only 4 stars. I didn't think it was quite as good as DaVinci, but nearly perfect nonetheless.

Brown again crafts a masterful story here, centering on the mysterious underbelly of the Catholic church. As in the DaVinci Code, Brown goes out of his way to weave a ton of research and "fact" in with a fantastic and gripping murder mystery. Someone is on a rampage in Rome, killing bishops as he goes, and it's a race against time to catch the killer before he finishes his job. The central character, an intelligent symbologist from Harvard, finds himself completely out of his element but rises admirably to the occasion. Langdon (the character) is identifiable in a way that makes this story more about the story than about the character, that is, the hero is not larger than life, which enhances the way the plot plays out.

Pick this up, with the DaVinci code, and you won't put them down!

Summary: Thrilling!
Review: This was one of the best books I have read in a long time. I can not remember reading a book that was as exciting, original and intelligent as this one in a very long time.

I highly recommend this book. It is a very fun read, and it makes you think. And the funnest part of all is that the book consistently surprises you all the way up to the end.

Great well developed characters, original story, fast paced, intelligent and un put downable!

Read this book, I promise you will love it.

Summary: Informative reading...
Review: When a scientist/priest is murdered and branded with the symbol of an ancient secret order, Robert Langdon is called in to help solve the death and stop a worldwide diseaster. He soon realizes that he has stepped into the middle of an ancient war, not only between the church and science, but perhaps between good and evil themselves. With the help of the murdered man's daughter, he takes on the Illuminati, a powerful brotherhood hidden in the shadow's of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masonic lodge unknown to most of its members. If Robert and Vittora fail, anti matter will be unleashed on the earth, the destructive power of which boggles the mind. They also must stop a threat to the Catholic church. Secrets and counterplots interweave to form a maze only the most quick minded will be able to navigate.

*** Interspersed in the plot are historical facts and a bit of theology. Though less contraversial than his recent bestseller, Angels and Demons is a fascinating and informative read. ***
