Summary: The best
Review: I've read a lot of computer hacking books, and this is definatly the best. Clifford Stoll does an excelent job of giving accurate technical information while keeping the story interesting. This book is a must read for any inspiring computer hacker/administrator interested in how things really work.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: BEST Book I have EVER Read
Review: This is certainly one of the best books ever written in history. I couldn't put it down (At all!) for the whole one and a half days it took my to finish it. Cliff Stoll does a wonderful job at republishing everything that happend in such fine detail.

Summary: Outstanding security novel
Review: The best computer story I have read. Cliff Stoll does an outstanding job of telling his story based on the log files he generated by tracking the hacker. A must read for those interested in computer security.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fascinating!
Review: This book is a fascinating look at the Internet before more than a handful of people even knew what the Internet was. The book is an exciting tale of espionage with a twist of science on top. I learned a lot about the Internet, yet the story wasn't compromised. I've read other "computer stories" and this is by far the best!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Attention System Mgrs: You need to read this!

Review: For mainframe dinosaurs like me, who doesn't love unix that much: It brought unix a little closer to me, maybe i liked unix a little more after reading this book. Great suspense!! I couldn't stop reading for four days... (or nights)

Summary: Clear and easy reading.
Review: The best book I have found so far that walks the reader into the problems of Network Security. After not being able to put this book down for 2 days, I eagerly started reading Takedown, but was very disappointed....Clifford Stohl is a briliant and witty writer. Most enjoyable!! It made me change my job!!

Summary: Cyber reading for the layman
Review: Not the usual cyber garbage, but factual and easy to follow reporting. A significant threat to our country is uncovered because of a seventy five cent accounting discrepancy. It is a tribute to the curiosity and tenacity of a true scientist. Although outside his primary discipline he tracked the hacker from state to state, continent to continent and computer to computer until there was no curtain to hide him. This is must reading for anyone who wants to see how battles are carried on in cyberspace.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a great NonFiction Novel on a common Fictional Topic
Review: I Have to say this was one of the best if not the very best computer novels of all time. I actually didnt not know that it was true until the very end of the book which made it shock me even more! I would most definately recommend this book to anyone interested in computers and the fun and addiction they create.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best "Based on a True Story Books" ever.
Review: The story of how a person, not overwhelmingly influenced by technology can use resources available to him to track a spy. Every time it is read, new things appear to make the book even more interesting.
