Summary: The new comic book reference
Review: This is the first graphic novel in a series that quickly, brutally and without warning stole my heart. Hiroaki Samura has in my opinion created a new comic book reference that alot of followers will be compared against. The drawings are brilliant and skillful, traveling from hard to soft, simple to detailed. Alone, they would be more than enough reason to love this graphic novel. The characters are complexed, captivating and extremely believable. Refreshingly, they differ alot from eachother in appearance, language, background and motivation. Alone, they would be more than enough reason to love this graphic novel. The story is intense and heart-breaking, It is raw, real and bloody, but entirely justified. It takes you everywhere you want to go and a few places you don't. Alone, the story would be more than enough reason to love this graphic novel. The panel layout and the way Hiroaki Samura works with the medium is a stroke of genious. It flows like a movie, taking you into the settings where you swirl around characters and details like a ghost. Alone, this would be more than enough reason to love this graphic novel. Needless to say, together these features create an experience that is rare in the comic book industry. It made me an addict and a devotee for a long time to come.

Summary: Great Manga
Review: This is truly a great Manga. I own the whole series and wish Hiroaki Samura would make more. Samura is a great artist using his own mixed style of drawing. He depicts the landscapes, people, and buildings necesary to descibe Feaudal Japan. The stories are compeling and the charactors are so human. Some are honorable and some are sick, but all are fasinating and have many sides. Blade of the Immortal is probebly one of, if not the best mangas of our time and should be read by all fans of anime, manga, and Japenese story telling. To be blunt, this anime RULES

Review: This manga is amazing. It's very popular in Japan, and looking at this first volume makes it easy to see why. Deep dialogue, fantastic art, interesting story, every detail, from a spurt of blood across the wall to simple emotion on a character's face...every detail of the illustration, every nuance of the story is all perfect, everything about this story is profoundly gripping and will suck you in. ...You'll like this if: -You like manga -You're interested in Japanese history, samurai, noble battles, that sort of thing -you're eager for that manga that combines an interesting story, good characters, and never overdone violence, never overdramatic, all just right. ...You won't like this if: -You're sensitive to violence -Too much blood makes you sick -You're not interested in Japan, samurai, swordfighting, good stories, deep characters. -You hate manga, and all comic books for that matter. Well, now that that's laid out...go buy this fantastic manga!

Review: You know how when you get a feeling about one of your favorite movies and you keep going to the movies in hopes of recaputing that feeling. This is one of those titles. I dont know about that battle alita guy. This is one of the best character diven, artistic stories ever. Once you start reading you'll be addicted for life. The popularity for BOTI grows every day. It is amoung the top 10 books sold in Japan and US. Thats pretty amazing considering it's a 90% adult following. Check it out for yourself you wont be disaponted.
