Summary: A Classic Mafia Story
Review: I've watched goodfellas a long time ago, way before I picked up this book, its one of my favortire "May-fia" movies of all-time. So it was a no brainer to buy the book, and boy, I'm sure glad I did, the book is a lot more in depth then the movie (for obvious reasons) and thats the best part, seeing how its all actually done and how they seem to always get away, now it all makes sense, and im looking to read other mafia books now, like "donnie brasco", or "carlito's way", just cause I want more, I'm addicted to the mafia, anyways, lates!

Summary: WHAT WAS I THINKING-I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
Review: I bought this book cause I like the movie Goodfellas-I even bought the movie and soundtrack-and I thought that the book would be a nice little thing to add to the collection!

(makes a buzzer noise)

Man was I wrong!

Wiseguy is so boring-my arms were getting tired of holding it and I was getting tired reading it!

Henry Hill thinks he knows everything about the mob just because he hung out with mob wannabes!

And his pain in the[rear-end] wife-all she did was whine-in every chapter she was whining-like grow up lady!

And it got sicking that in every chapter it would say something like-oh this mobster went to jail-like who cares?

I should of known this book would be bad since it says New York Times Bestseller!

Also on the book it says one of the best mob books ever written-i have other mob books that are better then this bore!

I do not recommend this book to anyone-unless your bored and want to fall alseep-cause thats all this book will do for ya!

Henry Hill wouldnt know the mob if it bit him in the eyeball!

Summary: REALY GRIPING!
Review: A REALY EXELENT READ AND THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE CHARICTORS IS WRITEN VERY WELL.A LOT OF THE BOOK IS THE ACTUAL QUOTES OF THE CHARICTOR HENRY HILL AND HIS WIFE AND A BIT OF HIS GIRLFREND WHICH IS GREAT BECAUSE YOU GET TO SEE THE STORY FROM THREE ANGELS AND THE FACT THAT ONE SIDE IS HIS WIFE AND ONE HIS GIRLFREND MAKES IT EVEN BETTER. ID LOVE TO PUT THEM TOO TOGETHER!YOU REALY WONT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN A TRULY GREAT STORY AND MUCH BETTER THAN THE MOVIE.

Summary: A great book for wiseguys
Review: Wiseguys by, Nicholas Pileggi is a great book with much detail of life in the mafia. Henry Hill guides us though his life. When you read this book you will learn of some of the sickest and most corrupt gangsters and their way of thinking and behaving. Henry has interesting friends. Jimmy Burke is a true thief, He steals anything he could and Tommy is like one of the sickest murderers in the world, a man that does it for fun.

Wiseguys is like a big fat book full of schemes. It goes scheme after scheme. From Henry using fake ten dollar bills to heisting trucks. You do not know what is criminal minded until, you read this book. It has violence, robbery, adultery, and murder. Henry takes you in the life of three decades in the mafia.

Summary: Wise Guy by a Wise Man
Review: Wise Guy by Nicholas Pileggi is a can't-put-down type of book. It has become one of my favorite books, and it has provided the basis for my favorite movie of all time, Good Fellas. This book allows you to view the life of a gangster. Pileggi provides the reader with suspense, anticipation, violence, love and also comedy in this bestseller. The story takes place in Brooklyn, New York from the 1950s to the 1980s. The main character (Henry Hill) has been attracted to the life that involves women, fast money and violence, all his life. He realized that this type of life is lived by being a gangster. He feels that "being a wise guy was better than being President of the United States. To be a wise guy was to own the world." Wise Guy is a book that is able to grab the reader's attention whether interested... or not.

Summary: Best Seller
Review: No, Mafia book can compare to this, except for THE GODFATHer. It is a good book, for those who are not familiar with high vocabulary. The book is straight forward, easy to read.

About the life style of Henry Hill, The half Irish/Italian, Mobster, who always liked gangsters.

Summary: Good if you want to learn how to be a hustler
Review: This book wasn't the most exciting mob book I ever read, but I have to give credit where its due... It wasn't written as a novel; it is the true story of a mob soldier.

It refers to many different scams and robberies that were pulled from the 30's all the way up to the 80's. I wish there was more detail on some of their techniques, but so many scams were mentioned, I guess they didn't have the space to describe them.

To summarize, it is not a very exciting book (read a Puzo novel) but it is factual, educational and should be considered a historical document of high importance vis-a-vis the history of organized crime.
