Summary: Insightful and Outstanding
Review: Once again Gary Null has demonstrated his outstanding scholarship and insight in his latest book "Ultimate Anti-Aging Program". This work builds upon his previous volumes and shows how one can slow down and even reverse the aging process. By identifying what is involved in aging he shows that by applying a relatively simple process of lifestyle modification, supplementation and mental adjustments one can significantly impact upon disease and aging. I have personally followed Gary Null's programs and protocols from previous books and have had spectacular results. Psoriasis, gum disease and cold sores have disappeared. I have lost significant amounts of fat and gained significant amounts of muscle. I am much more energetic and require less sleep and am told my skin looks more youthful. I highly recommend this and any other books written by Gary Null.

Summary: A Must Have!
Review:
It's over 500 pages of good advice! I strongly recommend "Gary Null's Ultimate Anti-Aging Program" as a practical guide to anyone who wants to live a longer and healthier life. It is a down-to-earth, solid book filled with details and easy to follow advice.

In its philosophy, and attention to detail this book reminds me very much of "Can We Live 150 Years?" by M. Tombak, which is another volume that everyone should read and own. I must compliment both authors for their non-commercial approach, easy-to-do-at-home recipes, and their commonsense approach to all aspects of health and overall wellbeing. I like Null's scientific expertise, but I also like Tombak's attention to internal body cleansing, proper breathing methods, keeping toxins out of one's intestines, kidneys, liver, blood, etc. Check for yourself at the publisher's website www.starthealthylife.com

Summary: Spend Your Money On Spinach Instead
Review: I love Gary Null's radio program. It's so inspirational that I bought this book hoping for more of the same. Sadly, I found it one of the worst organized books I ever seen, badly edited, and full of pages and pages of superfluous "testimonials" (literally over fifty pages of insubstantial fan letters!) I'm sorry to write this because I am a fan of Gary's and appreciate what he does on the radio but I feel compelled to warn the prospective buyer away from this book.

Summary: Healing the natural way!
Review: A good book with an effective writing style. He's classified food into different categories which makes it very easy to understand. As the doctor suggested I made soya a regular part of my diet. I now drink 'soy ff e e' a caffeine free substitute for regular coffe that I found on the net at www.S o y co f f e e.c o m, which is extremely tasty too. Soya is supposed to be highly effective against Parkinson's disease. Dr. Null advocates an exercise program and an organic vegetarian diet in conjunction with herb and vitamin supplements to detoxify the body.

Summary: Be fair!
Review: These are my opinions from my own observations.

Watch Gary Null on PBS, especially his "Art of Health" show, he gives away tons of useful, free information. Judging this book based off of some reader's review is no better than judging the book buy it's cover.

It's a mistake to ingore his message just because he can come off as an activist against drug companies but he does has some points. In america we spend billions of dollars on health care each year and yet are we healty? NO. Every 30 seconds someone dies of a heart attack alone. Now let's say you're a medical professional in that trillion dollar buisness.. Of course you're not going to speak out or leave your lucrative job to preach the truth (unless you're passionate about getting the truth out there, even though you know thousands of people will disagree with *some* of the things you say) But most doctors aren't taught nutrition, except maybe how to deal with diabeties or high blood pressure once you already have it! And of course you should be objective and extract what's useful and discard the rest from anyone's message.

So be fair, hear the man out before you decide if he's the real deal or not, but considering 95% of his message is simply about eating mostly raw foods and "right thinking" (which any yogi is taught), I think you'll see his message is positive.

Summary: true information
Review: To the book's credit, the advice given is sound, even if not new or Earth shaking. It does go into great lengths about eliminating the junk food and toxic elements from your body, i.e., too much sugar, fried foods, meat (animal protein,) but haven't we heard all that before? One does not need to buy a book to hear the message, it has been drilled into us in virtually every newspaper, health brochure, and health-centred television program for years now.

To the book's discredit, was the rather disorganized presentation style. I found myself constantly flipping back and forth from one page to another and enduring footnotes, which distract me to no end. My preference is to have information presented in a clear and concise manner, in an well-organized, structural format and that certainly was not found here.

If you gather some new information here that helps you improve your quality of health, then for you, the book will likely be a success. However, I found anything presented here which claims to promote "anti-aging," is nothing more than sound, common sense advice, which may help maintain your quality of health but is definitely not going to prevent aging. If one is concerned about "aging gracefully," it is common sense to eliminate as many junk foods as possible and eat nutritionally balanced meals, but I would place far more emphasis on a positive mental outlook to combat aging, than worrying about the dozen French Fries I ate for lunch last week! Vegetables and fruit are sprayed with herbicides and pesticides, in meat we worry about Hoof and Mouth disease and Mad Cow disease, we have all heard of cases of contaminated drinking water, grains have been genetically modified, sugars, salt and preservatives are supposedly harmful...so what is "safe" to eat? One can eat "sensibly" till the end of time...nothing is going to prevent aging. We would need to join Peter Pan in Never-Never Land, find Shangri-la or the Eternal Fountain of Youth for that one. One book I do hightly recommend is "Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type" - that one is a great book definitely deserving of a five star rating.

Summary: Changed My Life
Review: Gary Null is a very intelligent man. His radio program is fantastic, and he is a walking encyclopedia of information. I am amazed at how much information he has on such a variety of topics from nutrition, to politics, to even sports.

With that said, let's get to the review.. I too purchased this book after seeing his show on PBS. I had already known Gary, and had heard him talk on his radio program for years before the PBS special. I had decided to purchase the book at the local book store upon seeing the special because it was so convincing.

I got home, and dove right into the book. I was greatly disappointed at how disorganized this book is, as I am with a lot of Gary's books. He seems to big a HUGE fan of footnotes, and posting results from various trials and protocols from peer review journals. There is very little information in this book that actually teaches you how to Anti-Age.

Upon completion of the book, and getting nothing out of it, I thought I might have read it wrong, so I read it again. To my dismay, I was incorrect. This book is certainly not a wealth of information by any means, and you can get more out of listening to Gary's radio program for 10 minutes than you can get from reading this book from cover to cover.
