Summary: Shaun Hutson has done it again
Review: Knife Edge is the third (but Shaun has assured us not the final) time we have met the seemingly indestructible Sean Doyle, Renegades and White Ghost, being the first two. This is, like the prequels a completely captivating book and you have no idea what will happen to the hero, Doyle, because being such an unlikely hero you are half expecting him to self-destruct at any point. This becomes apparent immediately in the book.

As usual in Hutson's novels, the character development in the book is superb. Hutson spends 5-7 pages building up a profile of a person in the book, their hopes, their dreams, their future plans etc. who you then expect to become a major character in the book, then he will just simply blow them up or kill them in some other fashion.

Hutson is a superb talent and I recommend that anyone should read a book by him and this is as good a book as any.

Review: When you search amazon just about daily,your bound to find something that catches your eye. Shaun Hutson was that Eye catcher.

The Norhtern Ireland peace process has taken place.Several bombs have been set off killing leaders of the IRA,UVF and other followers of the peace process. Not everybody wants peace,including an ex-soldier name Bob Neville.An explosives expert soldier with nothing left because of the peace. The story begins.
The law is on to Neville. The book starts off with Doyle-counter terrorist agent-in front of Neville's house. Neville is holding his own wife and daughter hostage. Neville has given his demands,but does not get his daughter.After his escape Neville decides he wants custody of his daughter. If he does not get custody a bomb will go off every hour for tne next seven hours with a major blast in the final hour. From there we are taken on a seven hour journey of Doyle trying to eliminate Neville before another bomb detonates.

This is my first book by Hutson and I assume that Doyle is a series character? Doyle is a ruthless S.O.B.! He tell's it like it is and takes his mission orders to heart. I recomend Hutson to followers of Lee Child, Mack Bolan. Hutson been around awhile by the list of books,I am surprised this is the first I heard of him. I will read more.
