Rating: Summary: The story is so exciting that you won't get out of your seat Review: Christopher Pike is great. I love this book so much that I almost couldn't put it down. The author wrote a story that really catches my heart and I can't wait to find out the killer at the end. The ending is the climax of the story. This book is about a girl named Shari Cooper who died and then she goes through other people dreams during her afterlife to find out what really happened. I like the main character alot. There are lots of suspects here that you may have to keep track who is he/she. I recommend this book to everyone and I am looking forward to read the sequels.
Rating: Summary: Pike is a very witty and intellegent writer. Review: Pike is a truely wickedly charming writer. I have read all of his young adult books and have found each and every one of them as thrilling as the previous. I cannot pick out a "favorite" But "Remember me" was the first book of his that I picked up and I didn't put it down until it I had finished the entire novel. His main character Shari Cooper is a witty and spunky gal who has a bit of a run in with death and decides that she's going to track down her murderer. I began reading Pike when I was in seventh grade, now that I am 21 and a student in college studying to be a Paramedic I still I feel a bit self concious going to the Young Adult section of the book store to search for his books but I cannot resist for, Mr Pike still takes my imagination for a wild and very unexpected adventure. I highly recommend this author and "Remember Me". I hope Mr Pike continues to thrill me with his bizzare tales of horror.
Rating: Summary: guilty pleasures Review: This book is absolutely unbelievable. I read it about three years ago, and I still find myself grabbing it from the shelf to read my favorite passages again and again...the entire trilogy is great. But I skimmed everyone else's reviews and saw so many people saying they were in junior high...and it made me feel so immature! I'm a senior in high school and I am still hooked on Christopher Pike - am I the only one? I find myself sneaking into the young adult section of bookstores and grabbing his books and then getting out of there as fast as possible. I feel like his books are so mature, and at age 17 they still hit me as hard as they did when I was 12 and I first started reading him; in fact, even harder, because I have experienced a lot more and understand a lot more since. I honestly believe that if the binding was less colorful and the print was smaller, Christopher Pike's YA novels could easily be put in the adult horror section and plenty of people would buy them. I have read the four available adult horror novels of his, and they are the best books ever written. I am starting to ramble, but I just have to express myself!
Rating: Summary: pike fan Review: this was an awsome book. pike has done it again. i have never been good at writing but, oh well. i have not read this in while so bear with me. well it starts out with shari cooper telling about her being a ghost and how she died. and the police thinking it was a suicide. except for one.Yet, we dont know who the killer is. out of 6 people that could have killed her at the party when she was murdered. so it's a who don it type of book. And even if you do figure out who the killer is before it tells you. you will never guess the killers motives. And while the investigation is happening and shari and jimmy (an old friend that came to help her for he is a ghost too.) are there every step of the way. But,something dark is after shari. Will she find out the killer? Will she go into the light? Or will the dark thing that is after her get her? sick, twisted, and awsome. you will never be able to put the book down.
Rating: Summary: The Book that got me hooked Review: This was the first Christopher Pike book that I read, and it sparked a small obsession with his storytelling. It is, in my opinion, the best book he's written, although, I enjoyed all of his books, in one way or another. For it's time, it was incredibly clever, and thought-provoking. Even for those that don't enjoy TA fiction, I highly recommend it. It's a very well-written story.
