Rating: 4 stars
Summary: ghostly and delicious
Review: Six chilling tales loaded with atmosphere and edgy story-telling. The title tale is a fine piece of work, but two others, "Dearest Clarissa" and "The Spider," are even better; the first is a masterpiece of subtle tension between what the first-person narrator knows and what the reader slowly figures out; the latter is not to be read by people who are afraid of spiders! The collection finishes with a sort of "dessert," a macabre but amusing tale of bodily resurrection and revenge. Highly recommended for those who like ghost and horror tales.
