Rating: Summary: Ghost of a Death Review: I love edgy mystery books and techno-thrillers and this combines both concepts brilliantly. An almost unbelievable premise takes ahold of you and never lets you go until the last page. You'll believe in the protagonist and you'll want more. I hope to see I.M. Descartes float into my book store again soon.
Rating: Summary: Notes from a Thriller Junkie Review: I really enjoyed this book and what seems to be quite a creative spirit behind it. Although comparisons with another "posthumous voice", The Lovely Bones, are inevitable, the two works are actually quite different, particularly in terms of their respective treatments of the killer; the revelation of his identity; and, of course, his eventual fate.I very much hope to see additional works by this author, with more stories of Descartes in particular. Like Dalgleish and Marple, he is as curiously endearing as he is intruiging.
Rating: Summary: Techno page-turner..... Review: I'm a techno-klutz but that didn't limit my enjoyment of this engaging mystery. Very entertaining and great escape reading but no lightweight plot here. Ian is/was quite a guy...a thoroughly likable hero.
Rating: Summary: Ghost of a Death Review: This is a mixture of science fiction and thriller with a slight bit of romance kicked in. Just what I love! It keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wonder what will happen to Ian Descartes as he learns about his new "body" and his changing view of life. Well done!
