Summary: New twist on vampires -- a history lesson in fiction.
Review: This book is definitely a different take on the classic tale of the vampire. It weaves a mix of actual historical (and theological) events with the fantasy of vampires to breathe new life into a tired and exhausted subject. Don't get me wrong, I love vamp novels, but I feel this author is just what the genre needs...a new direction. Less romantic, more "Blade"-esque, especially with how the author incorporates the title of this book into the storyline. This is my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.
